Guest Gamengiri2002 Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 I would have to say some sort of psychological research is in order. Hell, Ivan the Terrible got his kicks throwing puppies out of the towers in the Kremlin and splattering them along the sidewalk. Stuff like this shows the lack of a fundamental respect for life in general. I say send him to a state mental hospital for a couple of months to a year at least. Give him a little incentive to find other, more courteous and humane ways of dealing with domesticated animals.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Kids that go around torturing animals DO get punished. There's a law in the books against that, you know. Putting down a dangerous animal is a matter of public safety moreso than a strictly legal matter.
Guest Samurai_Goat Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Yea, but what if the dog is only dangerous in certain situations? Like, you get into the back yard without someone he knows. Some dogs'll go nuts over that. And if the dog does bite the person, even if there's no serious harm, there will be people saying they should be put down.
Guest EricMM Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Because if a dog bites someone once, it might bite someone again. And if it bites anyone, it might bite a kids face off. And so it is safer to do away with the dog than to risk the kids face, I think that's the reasoning.
Guest Samurai_Goat Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I can tell ya, if I found out some kid just went and bit a dog, I'd give him a lot more walking space than a dog who bit a person.
