El Crimen del Padre Amaro

Saw this a week ago with my friend, and finally got around to writing a review of it. It's fairly lengthy, and probably a bit difficult to piece through because of my sheer exhaustion lately and the fact that it's literally only the second thing I've written all month (hence the lack of other articles). For that I apologize (remember, I'm used to writing crappy articles about crappy films).

 

Has anyone else seen this film? What did you think about it? For those who haven't but are aware of its content (maybe someone who took the time to read my article?), what do you think about its themes? Does it deserve its tagline of "the most controversial film ever made"?
