Haven't seen anyone here mention this yet, so I'll ask: who's going to recap this thing? It's at rowdyroddypiper.com and costs $5. It's supposed to have Piper's plans he made a couple years ago and sent to Bischoff and Russo to turn WCW around. It's practically legendary as much as it has been hyped up..

I was gonna post this thread. I hope someone caps it. If someone does cap it or Dl it i will trade them alot of stuff for it (i have like 500 wrestling matches, most are japan or rare).

It was weird. First he showed a live Pit from MSG with Bruno Sammartino. Then a match with him and Bob Orton vs. Bruno and Paul Orndorff. After about 20 minutes it was time for the "Ghost Tape". It started out with Piper shooting to Bischoff and Russo about what he was going to try and accomplish with this. Then it shifted to him sitting down with his daughter on his lap and Piper in full kayfabe mode. Apparently this tape was made during the New Blood vs Millionaires Club feud. He made it as if someone from NB sent him a letter threatening him and his family and he went balistic. He said that him Hogan, Flair and the rest of the Millionaires were going to be bringing the "Bad Blodd" which according to Piper was going to include Josh Matthews from Tough Enough and a bunch of other young up and commers but no one else mentioned by name. So basically his big plan to save WCW was to feud the New Blood with the Bad Blood. It was 20 minutes of Pipers Pit and the match 8 minutes of Piper yapping and about 12 minutes of the "Ghost Tape". There goes 40 minutes and 5 bucks ill never get back.

He was on Wrestling Observer Live last night, he's sounds like a likeable guy, very humble and appreciative to all the fans. I felt bad because they ran short of time and he was telling a story about the Bad News Brown/black face incident but he only had 90 seconds and the show ended abruptly while Piper was in the middle of his story :( o well.

Josh Matthews? Didn't the New Blood angle predate Tough Enough by a year or two? Or was Matthews actually a wrestler in the indies?

No.. it didnt.. I think it was going on at the same Time as Tough Enough..

To be in tough enough you have to be 21 and you can not have had like more then a month of wrestling training or be and Indy wrestler.

I dont think that plan would saved WCW.. but it coulda been kinda cool to see.

That wouldn't have saved the WCW IMO. While the idea could work it would not have been enough with the way WCW was self destructing.

Tough Enough: Season One debuted in 2001 and the New Blood angle died in 2000. Maybe its me, am I missing something?

maybe this tape was made a little while ago this year or so to make money off of the Ghost Tape rumor, and he just got his timeline mixed up...

That wouldn't suprise me at all...

That was my theory, too, after Mattman discovered that fact about Josh Matthews.

That would be my guest, especially if Russo claims that WCW never saw the tape.
