Solution (s) for the WWE

Recommended Posts

Guest pappajacks

Many people are saying that the WWE has hit rock bottom. Depending how one defines rock bottom, it might or might not be true.

I feel like it doesn't take much for the WWE to get back on its two feet. Unlike 1994-1996, the WWE has the wrestlers to make its programming interesting. It has a lot of talent on the roster.

My solution is to redefine the product and have other belts mean almost as much as the World Championship belt. This is what I would do:

1. Leave the World Championship belt for big hosses like HHH, Steiner, Brock, Big Show, Batista and the rest.

2. Create a competitive cruserweight division with Eddie, Angle, Jericho, Benoit, Kidman, RVD, Hardys, Mysterio, Tajiri, Noble, etc. Built the belt in this division. Make it seem very important. Try to sign Styles and Lynn. Make it a better version of the X division.

3. Create a true HARDCORE division, not the crap we had before with Crash and the 24/7 rule. Make it more extreme than what it was in ECW. Have guys like Dreamer, Sabu, Rhyno, Raven, Tazz and many others from Japan.

4. Keep the women's division as is. That is one of the few things that the WWE is doing right. Have Trish, Jazz, Molly, Victoria fight for the belt.

5. Scrap the tag team division. It is dead.

6. Hire a heel commentator. A younger version of Ventura or Heenan.

I think if the WWE follows this pattern, it can succeed and reach unprecedented levels. Like I mentioned, the WWE has the wrestlers to succeed. It's just vision from the people at the top that is missing.

Tag Team Division is not dead.

Smackdown's isn't doing to well right now...but from what I read in the spoilers, the Raw tag division doesn't seem dead.

Scrapping the tag division sounds too...Bischoffy to me.

Kurt Angle and RVd are NOT cruiserweights.

The tag division is starting to thrive and completely scrapping it would be amazingly retarded b/c tag matches are very easy matches to pop the crowd.

Main events are what sell the show so putting crap up there is retarded.

Tazz is retired. If by hardcore you mean missing spots and being broken down- then yea sign Sabu.

Can you be more specific with what guys from Japan? I don' think they'd want to leave Japan to go fight Raven

Hmm, I agree with you about a couple things... I think the Hardcore division is not doing what it should. I feel like if the WWE wants to make this division good, they should make it be more Hardcore and less if this trashcan lid bullshit. The world title should not be the hosses, I think the world championship should be kept around for those people, but Angle, Benoit, and Jericho deserve it too. Also, I think if the WWE gave RVD the push they were gonna, that would be good. Book needs a push too obviously. The cruiser title should be dominated by Mysterio, Kidman, Hardy, and so on. The tag team division needs alot of work I agree. My one thing is this... BookDust is great, but Goldust has nothing without Booker.

You know, better than your cruiserweight invitational or whatever, how about having a midcard belt that, you know, heavyweights and cruiserweights can fight for equally?

I suggested doing this with the IC title back in September.

Tag teams aren't dead (look what it did for Goldust recently.) However, North American hardcore matches /are./

Heavyweight Title (Brock, Steinter, HHH...) *Champ = Brock

Lightweight Title (RVD, Edge...) *Champ = RVD

Cruiserweight Title (Rey, Kidman..) * Champ = Rey (when healthy)

Tag Title (With REAL tag teams) * Champ = a real tag team

Women's Title (Trish, Bradshaw, Ivory...) * Champ = whoever

Oh yeah, and drop the brand extension b.s.!

How about the "Middleweight Title". It makes it seem less like the Cruiserweight.

That would certainly be one way to go about it. But would the WWE be willing to headline the show with a middle weight title match? I mean if they try and be legit about the weight requirements, well, the Heavyweight matches would start to suck hard. I mean, if you take anyone less than 250 out of the contention, who's gonna cut the promos? Undertaker? HHH? STEINER!? Jeez. Is the rock over 250 or 300 or whatever heavyweight limit is?

Better booking would help. Demoting Gerwitz would be good too. Kicking HGH out of all future production meetings would be another good thing.

I agree with Angle-Plex. Cruiserweight just has such a bad stigma to it. Maybe even Jr. Heayweight could work.

I just think the WWF just needs to take a look at their fed and actually plan what they want to do, trying to play to their wrestlers' strengths in the process. They seemed to be somewhat doing this on Smackdown for a bit, and it produced some good stuff. This whole "Hey! Let's book tonight's show on the toilet paper from the men's room at the local IHOP!" strategy just isn't working.
