Guest Flyboy Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Oh, and Metroid Prime rocks! About 3 months before it came out, you said you didn't care about it. (Or was that another game?) Either way, I'm getting it tomorrow. Whoo!
Guest Sakura Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Yeah. I thought Prime would suck. I was wrong, it's one of the best games of the year.
Guest Flyboy Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Ha! Don't you feel foolish, now?
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Hsu's Fatality rules! It almost makes up for how lame he looks. Sakura, are you trying to say that you aren't a fan of YMC (H)Ao?
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 By the eay, whoever said Moloch is cage's bitch is so right. I've beaten him four times tonight. Upper cuts and then punch combos get him in to rounds.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 By the eay, whoever said Moloch is cage's bitch is so right. I've beaten him four times tonight. Upper cuts and then punch combos get him in to rounds. Exactly. All I heard on places like gamefaqs (aka video games for 10 year olds) was how badass Moloch was. First 3 or 4 times I got to him with Cage I tried to keep some distance and got worked by his reach and that inhale attack. Finally I got pissed and just worked my way in and started throwing combos. I accidentally switched to Jeet Kun Do and couldn't find the time to switch out so I just kept throwing the same 2 combos and Moloch COULDN'T beat me. Hilarious. I'm dreading trying to beat him with someone slower like Hsu or Jax. Mavado oughta be fun though, just bouncing around on his little bungee cord things. Quan Chi as the final fight is still kind of a pain with Cage though. He's JUST quick enough to keep up. Basically keep sidestepping and try to work him over from the side. Tsung is somewhat easier, because he seems to be just a tad slower and susceptible to the same Jeet combos. Keep your distance when he gets to his sword though because your 'chuks don't have the reach and he has that little low-high attack that'll mess you up if you're too close.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I really have no problem with Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. Of course, I'm never Cage because I try to get the last two wins for the other characters.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Ah. Well that's one way to get everyone's ending . Cage's ending is kinda lame anyway. It fits into his character and all, but it doesn't further anything.
Guest Sakura Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Kano's "Ear to Ear" in Weapon Stance owns Moloch.
Guest William E Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 The only person that I can beat the shit out of Moloch with his Kenshi. With anyone else I am dead.
Guest EQ Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 I'd like to see Kabal return and join the Special Forces. Mavado's Konquest sets that up perfectly. Kabal was awesome. And you know who else I want to see return? Baraka. I loved him. I don't like how they got rid of Sub-Zero's ground freeze, the vertical freeze thing he did and the ice clone. I loved doing that. Sure, they're pretty cheesy, but Sub's always been a cheeseball. I know frost can do the ground freeze thing, but I still want Sub to do it. The pit from MKII is the best ever.
Guest EQ Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 The way I beat Moloch is I use Scorpion, and use his Ninja Sword's secondary attack (I don't really know how to describe it). It's where he sidesteps and then hits you as if it were a baseball bat. Some characters impale their opponent when you use the same button. I just do it over and over until Moloch dies. That's pretty much the only way I've been able to beat Moloch, and even that doesn't work every time. He's so damn cheesy, but I guess all MK midbosses are.
Guest Sakura Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 I would also like to see Baraka return. Stryker too, but I know that will NEVER happen. The Pit II is indeed a great stage Fatality. My favorites are The Prison in MK4 or Shao Kahn Tower(Belltower) in MK3.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 I loved Styker's fatality. Wiring the guy up and blowing him up was kinda cheeseball though (especially the covering the ears) so they might try something else.. However, I think one of the movies you get out of the Krypt shows what happened to Baraka. However, since it isn't in the game proper I suppose it doesn't really count.
Guest EQ Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Well, even if Baraka died or whatever, they could pull something out their asses and say he's back from the dead, or maybe have a brother or something who happens to know all his moves... heh. Cheesy, yes... but if I can play as Baraka again, I don't care. I also liked the subway stage fatality from MK... I think it was 3
