Guest Mole Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Well, I saw Two Towers tonight(again) and during the previews, there are a lot of movies coming out that look good. What movies are you excited to see?
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 The Matrix: Reloaded The Matrix: Revolutions Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King Bad Boys II (Took 8 Damn Years) X2 The Fast and the Furious 2 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Bruce Almighty Daredevil Freddy Vs Jason The Hulk When Harry Met Lloyd: Dumb and Dumberer (Even though no Carrey or Daniels = Garbage)
Guest SP-1 Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Pretty much everything NBT put up there, as well as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Heck yes. Almost has me tempted to go rent the T2: Judgement Day DVD and watch it again.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Well I can't recall what's coming out any time soon. Of the movies listed so far i'm only majorly interested in the following... Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King Daredevil The Hulk Freddy vs. Jason: It likely won't be anything great, but I'm a fan and i've been waiting forever so I'm there. X2: I'm assuming that this is X-Men 2. The following I have remote interest in. Matrix 2&3: I'm not insanely looking forward to these because I'm over the FX hype. If part two gets me interested in the actual story then I'll watch part three. Harry Potter 3: It's not a movie I'd rush out to see, but I'm not against seeing them. It's one of things I'll get around to doing whenever. Bad Boys 2 = Men In Black 2: Recycled jokes in a watered down remake of the original.
Guest Lethargic Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Been waiting on that for years. And the usual Matrix, all the comic book movies, blah blah crap.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Star Wars: Episode III Yep, I'm a hopeless Star Wars mark...
Guest Ravenbomb Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 I heard David Fincher is going to direct a movie of Rendezvou (sp?) with Rama, that should be good. Other than that there are 3 movies out/coming out that I want to see: Two Towers Gangs of New York 25th Hour
Guest red_file Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Adaptation - looks to be even better than Being John Malkovich. Eh, not much beyond that that I can think I've actually going to the theatre to see. Maybe Daredevil, or that sniper movie about the phone booth the name of which I can never remember, or Catch Me If You Can but I've got an aversion towards Leo and everytime I see Hanks anymore I mourn the comedic loss when he turned solely to drama. Not really all that psyched to see the next Matrix movie, but I'm interested in how they're going to deal with Neo being a god, and how they'll stretch the storyline out for another movie. I'll be interested in the third Harry Potter movie when it comes out, and Tarantino hasn't disappointed me so Kill Bill will probably be worth a trip, and I'm kinda curious as to what Ang Lee will do to the Hulk. I know there were more movies I'm interested, but I can't think of them. Couldn't have been too interested.
Guest Intimacy Goblin Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Matrix sequels Return of the King A Man Apart (I'm an action junkie) X2 Bad Boys II Sequel to Desperado Pirates of the Carribbean (some movie I've seen 1 very un-revealing preview for, but it has Johnny Depp and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimmer, so I'm intensely curious)
Guest eiker_ir Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Freddy vs. Jason i can't WAIT to see it....
Guest C-Bacon Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 When Harry Met Lloyd: Dumb and Dumberer (Even though no Carrey or Daniels = Garbage) you gotta be kidding me. and i was so hyped for this too where did you hear this???
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Star Wars Episode III. 2 years IS a long time to wait for this movie.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 double post, but this reminds me of a joke A pirate walks into a bar, and he has a steering wheel hanging out of his zipper. The bartender says, "Hey, did you know there's a steering wheel hanging out of your zipper?" And the pirate says, "Arr, it's driving me nuts."
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Pirates of the Caribbean, totally. I love pirates. I've dreamt so long of an effects-laden, Jolly Roger, "Arrrr matey", pirate movie. The teaser didn't reveal much, but Bruckheimer is involved, and I know there are walking skeletons, and an island shaped like a skull, so this might be the one I've been waiting for.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Walking skeletons = good movie
Guest RobJohnstone Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 is kill bill the new tarentino movie? --Rob
Guest red_file Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 is kill bill the new tarentino movie? --Rob That would be correct, sir.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I'd like to see Darren Aronofsky make another movie, since I loved Pi and Requiem... I heard something a while back about a movie called "Fountain" or something like that. I know nothing else about it, though.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Shanghai Knights, The Fast and The Furious 2 and the two Matrix movies.
Guest starvenger Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Based on the previews, I'm waiting for: - Bad Boys 2 - Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson as a Bond-type spy) - Matrix 2&3 - The Hulk - X2 - Return of the King (although technically there hasn't been a trailer for it yet)
Guest Zack Malibu Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 The Hulk Daredevil The Hulk Bad Boys 2 The Hulk X2 The Hulk Oh, and The Hulk.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 The only ones I really can't wait to see are Jason vs Freddy and House of 1,000 Corpses
Guest Lethargic Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I'd like to see Darren Aronofsky make another movie, since I loved Pi and Requiem... I heard something a while back about a movie called "Fountain" or something like that. I know nothing else about it, though. That movie got canned after Brad Pitt left it because of numerous script and budget problems delayed it and delayed it and delayed it.
Guest TUS_02 Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I've been waiting patiently for Phone Booth... since it was supposed to come out a month ago and got pushed back, I haven't heard shit about it... which pisses the hell out of me because it should be Colin Farrell's last film before he breaks out in Daredevil and The Recruit.... both movies I want to see too...
Guest godthedog Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 i really really really really really want to see 'adaptation'. i was PISSED when i found out it wouldn't be playing in athens or augusta. even though i have serious doubts about tarantino now, i'm curious to see 'kill bill'. i should be seeing 'gangs of new york' later this week. and...hm, that's about it.
Guest C.H.U.D. Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Adaptation is certainly worth seeking out. It's really good.
Guest red_file Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 My only concern about Adaptation is Cage. The only movie I've ever seen him in that made me think he was a good actor was Raising Arizona; every other movie he's either been passable or barely there. Even Leaving Las Vegas didn't seem the acting triumph that I heard so many people making it out to be. Maybe I have something against the guy.
