How I'd book the nWo Angle.

This is my first real post on the Smarkboard. FEEL THE EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!

 

Anyway, here's how I'd book the angle...

 

Vince comes out and says he's bringing in the nWo to poison the WWF. JR, Cole and the rest of them point out how Vince has snapped, lost his mind and what not.

 

No Way Out: At the top of the PPV, there's a meeting between the WWF locker room, lead by Ric Flair the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. They hammer into the ground just how bad the nWo is for the WWF, how they caused the fall of the original WCW. Austin would say something like "We've worked damn hard these past few years to make the WWF what it is today, and I'll be damned if I'll let 3 jackasses like the nWo come in here and tear it all apart". So the superstars plan to form a sort of human chain outside of the arena, and when the nWo arrives, they're gonna take them out.

 

Throughout the night, the cameras cut back to the parking lot, where we see the WWF stars (the ones who don't have matches) waiting with weapons for the nWo arrival. Finally, before the main event, Vince McMahon's limo pulls up to the arena and when he gets out, a bunch of the wrestlers rush him, demanding to know where the nWo is. Vince tells them that the nWo won't be there due to a dispute they had earlier in the day. The wrestlers are relieved, but before Vince enters the building, he gets in Flair's face and say something like "You're not out of the woods yet. Vengeance will be mine" then heads into the arena.

 

Austin Vs Jericho: During the match, something happens backstage that draws everyone's attention, allowing for Hogan, Hall and Nash to hop out of the crowd with bats and assault Austin. A few of the wrestlers find out that the nWo has arrived, and rush out to ringside, but get taken out by Hogan, Hall and Nash as Jericho gets the pin. After the match, the nWo spraypaints Austin, then escapes through the crowd when the locker room basically empties and goes after them.

 

-Next night on Raw:

 

At the top of the show, Vince McMahon and the nWo hold a meeting backstage scolding everyone who went after the nWo the night before. He says that anyone who wants to get at the nWo has to go through him. Then, Hogan says something like "Hey brother! Hollywood and the nWo is here in the WWF dudes...and we're the ones that are running the show, brothers! So what you can do is either get with the nWo program or get out of the WWF, because we've taken over!"

 

-Later, Austin arrives at the arena with an ax and threatens a stagehand to point him to the nWo's luxury dressing room, where he chops the door down, bursts into the room and tries to take Hogan's head off. He is double teamed by the Outsiders before police rush into the room and arrest him.

 

Hogan is pissed about the Austin attack, and decides that he needs to whoop somebody, so he goes out to the ring and makes an open challenge. The Rock comes out, they do their little thing that they did that night, saying how they're gonna fight at Wrestlemania, Hogan accepts, Rock hits the Rock Bottom, Outsiders whoop his ass, hit him with a hammer and Rock does the stretcher job, then the truck incident with the ambulance. I'm tempted to take that truck part out, since Austin did it to HHH back in 99, but I'll leave it in there.

 

-After a break, the nWo is celebrating their attack when they're approached by an angry Vince, who's all "THAT'S A HUMAN BEING, DAMN IT!" They then mouth off to Vince, who responds by firing them all. He turns to walk away, when Hogan pulls out the hammer and hits him in the back of the head. Hall and Nash grab pipes and begin beating on Vince, who eventually (in storylines) falls into a coma. Police arrest the nWo, Vince is carried out on a stretcher and they're done for the night.

 

This post is long enough already, so I'm gonna stop it there, but here are some quick notes: Hogan and the gang return on that Smackdown with lawyers, that Vince signed an iron clad contract saying that they can't be fired. A mystery person bailed them out of jail after the Rock, McMahon attack from Raw, and there's a lot of speculation on who that is, Nash and Austin for Wrestlemania, but the nWo has placed a TRO on Austin, meaning that he can't touch any of them until Wrestlemania.
