Guest Ace309 Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 other one again. As I understand it, the proposed arrangement has (theoretically) Stubby McWeed (though that's apparently not going to happen) and Suicide King as co-head bookers, along with such assistant bookers as the booking team deems necessary and proper. That's all I really know about it. I don't see any reason for anyone to have a problem with King at the helm, singly or with a co-head booker. With Stubby apparently out of the picture, can someone please explain the arrangement for the benefit of the great unwashed masses like myself?
Guest Suicide King Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 sigh... we're deciding it right now. we do have a break at least. I really wish this didn't happen, but I guess you play teh cards you're dealt.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 If you have any need of my services, guys, in whatever capacity, let me know. I'm not sure yet if I will be active again when we return from break, but I'll definitely still be involved with the boards.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I vote for a commitee. All of you should too.
Guest Coffin Surfer Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I don't see the point of a certain few otherthrowing Stubby for being a sole head booker, only to elect another all ruling head booker. That would make Stubby's overthrowing even more of an injustice, so I'd vote Commitee or at least two head bookers.
Guest Ace309 Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Well, my hope is that the plan is still to have a team of co-head bookers, along with a few extra people hanging around for purposes of helping with storylines (for those who ask) and the like.
Guest TheBostonStrangler Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Just so you folks know, we're fairly close to having an agreement. I'd expect some sort of official announcement by this weekend.
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Cool. And if King gets bumped to the WFCC and there's a hole in the JLCC, I'll be willing to fill it.
Guest TheSatanicAngel Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 No one wants you on CC, Ash. I on the other hand ... would like to reiterate how well Sarah Leavenworth does as Commissioner in EWR ... I'm offering my services ... In any capacity other than those kind of services.
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 Oh, all right, Sarah. But hey, I can try. Which of course means I'll try to get into the CC
Guest crusen86 Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Not much point, since it will never happen Ash.
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Ash's CC chances = My CC Chances = 0. Some just aren't meant for management, yo. -Annie
Guest Tod deKindes Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Why would one want a booking job so bad? That means having to cater to the demands of too many people, all while being conscious of the ressources you have. Or listening to half the people whining of their position everytime (if any). I work with a real life booker everyweek and it's not a pleasant job, folks. I'm content with writing.
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Hmmm... good point Tod. Doesn't matter if I get in the CC yet. I'll think about it after I retire and stuff, and that's not for a while.
Guest Kibagami Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Not much point, since it will never happen Ash. Ash...do you read any posts other than your own? K.
