Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 I uninstalled Outlook Express 5, then installed the Internet Explorer Service Pack 6.0 which includes Outlook Express 6. My e-mail in OE 6 looked like it was going to start working without giving me the error messages, but then I think it stopped on 12/16/02 and it gave me the same messages I had on OE 5, so I decided to uninstall it. Then when I went to reinstall it, a message popped up that said something about if I save or open the download, it could have a virus that could harm my computer, so I decided not to re-download OE 6 and now I'm not sure what to do to get a good version of Outlook/Outlook Express back without it harming my computer that doesn't have the error messages. Can someone help me out?
Guest DrTom Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 To really answer that, we'd have to know what your error message is, and exactly when you see it. As for the warning about downloading things, AFAIK, that's a standard Windows warning that pops up whenever you download an executable.
Guest Fading Away Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Just don't use OE. It has terrible protection, and I find it harder to use.
