Guest kingkamala Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 Seeing as how it was mentioned on the Brilliant but Cancelled thread(and Documentary too) I think we should give this show it's own thread. I believe The Critic (arguably) is one of the best short lived shows ever and one of the best animated comedies. It still airs in reruns on Comedy Central but in a ultra bizzare timeslot. 1:00 A.M. to 2:00 A.M on Monday Mornings, they show two episodes a week which is a good thing but only insomniacs are gonna watch it at that timeslot. So any thoughts/opinions on this show?
Guest Eagan469 Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 You forgot to mention the 10 webisodes which can be viewed here: http://search.shockwave.com/search/?sp-c=3...sp-q=The+Critic Great show.
Guest razazteca Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 IT STINKS ever notice how time period comedy loses the funny.
Guest bravesfan Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Thanks Eagan. Great stuff considering the timeslot of the television show.
Guest MrRant Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Umm... The Critic comes on everynight at 3 AM.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 Easter Island Kid kills me.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Great show, a friend and i still quote the white gloves joke.
Guest kingkamala Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 The Webisodes are good but not up to half as good as the original TV series. Especially since it only included two characters, Jay and his new girlfriend. No Jay's dad or Duke Phillips=a half assed version of the Critic
Guest Mad Dog Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I've never seen the web episodes. Probably won't knowing that Duke and the dad aren't on the show.
