The IC title probably was hung up by Taker/Billy Jack Haynes' hat, Kane's old mask, Papa Shango's voodoo staff, Rock's $500 shirt and the like in the WWF/E prop closet.

 

Either that or Vince gave it to Patterson as a momento.

I think that they have it in storage, like they did the Million Dollar Championship

 

I think the reason they got rid of it, at least for now, is because they needed to make a new belt with the WWE logo on it. The IC Title still had the WWF logo on it.

They could have just made a new IC one, or had the F's chiseled off/filled in. They didn't have to kill off the title.

 

Or maybe they'll make a new 2nd tier belt since the Intercontinental Title's name fit about as well as the European Title. Make a US Title or a TV Title or something.

i wonder who has the IC tile b4 the current one. That belt was awesome looking. It was held by Warrior,HBK, Bret, Razor, Austin, Rock. IMO that was one of the best looking belts ever too

One problem with that though...

 

The stooges can't come out to "Real American" anymore...as WWE and Hogan are on good terms with each other again...I believe.

The last two in the ring will more than likely be HBK and Brock Lesnar, and BOTH will go over the top at the last moment, leading to them BOTH getting their respective title shot.

 

Ok, maybe not HBK, but it will be Brock and someone from RAW, as co-winners of the 2003 Royal Rumble, that's my prediction.
