Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I guess I slept wrong last night or something, but ever since I woke up today, I haven't been able to move my neck to the right, and when I do, it hurts so bad that it gives me a gag reflex, leading to me almost vomiting, and basicly paralyzing me from my neck down my right arm and back. Now, I ask you this... ...what in the fuck can I do to help this end, please!? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest MrRant Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Hot bath/shower
Guest Ace309 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Long, very hot shower will loosen up any muscle knots and tightness. Try a few Ibuprofen as well. If that doesn't work, hell if I know. You might also want to try the Citron method, in which you drink several flights of Citron on the rocks.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 26, 2002 It is getting worse and worse, I now have to keep my neck almost always leaned to the left... ...help me.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 26, 2002 A bottle of aspirin and some vodka ought to do the trick.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 A bottle of aspirin and some vodka ought to do the trick. Thats my cure for eveything, minus the aspirin. Headache, back ache, broken bones, tiredness can all be cured with a little vodka.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted December 26, 2002 That happened to me one day. I woke up, rolled over, and heard a loud crack in my neck. I had to walk around with my head tilted all day.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 A good long massage then a shower, or a good long massage in the shower.
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I've gotten a sore neck quite a few times in the past, but a gag reflex has never come with it before. I try almost everything like a hot shower/bath or massage, but it never goes away until the next morning.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Well here I am, day two, and it still hurts like a mother fucking bastard... ...I'm going to the doctor soon, this sucks.
Guest Ace309 Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Um, yeah, if it didn't go away you really should be going to a doctor. Neck injuries/problems are nothing to fuck around with. Still, I highly recommend the Citron method.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted December 26, 2002 I had something like this a few weeks ago, where I woke up one morning and couldn't even move from bed for about fifteen minutes. It cleared up in four or five days, but during that time I had to keep my head tilted to one side and if I moved it in any direction there would be this really sharp pain and my neck would start having spasms. There's really nothing I did for it, except what's already been mentioned and the occasional ice pack.
Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted December 27, 2002 That happened to me a fair while ago as well, unfortunately i can't remember how i got it to stop, i think after a while it just went away.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 27, 2002 Day three, I still feel pain but not as much. I had to miss work again today also... ...the doctor said I have a muscle spasm, which is why it is so painfull. He told me something cool as hell to help me also. Take a sock, fill it with rice, and heat it in the microwave for about two or three minutes. Rice stays warm for a good while, and in the sock you can take it and it will mold to your neck, it's great.
