I think the #1 pick should be used for Larry Johnson. I don't think any of the QBs could really be picked #1 and succeed in Cincy.

The 2nd or 3rd round pick should be used for their QB. Like Kliff Kingsbury, Chris Simms or some other QB

the other picks should go for some of the Penn State OL (face it, it'd work out well with Johnson) and defense

Why don't they just trade it for a lower pick and get some good players from the 12-20 area. There is no one person that is going to save the Bengals.

KINGSBURY~!

Texas Tech reference!

I am not sure that would be a wise idea, considering Penn State has produced such great running backs as Blair Thomas, Curtis Enis, and Ki-Jana Carter. I would think that drafting a Penn St. running back would just be asking for a bust. Then again, it's the Bengals, so they'll probably do it.

Willis is a Junior right now.

Anyways, it'd be stupid to draft from Miami. How many players can go from playing home games in the Orange Bowl to playing home games in Paul Brown Stadium without a hitch.

BTW, if he is still on the board by pick 33, the Bengals should get Ken Dorsey

I think Kingsbury could be very good with the right system, even with mediocre recievers.

Isn't that how it went at Texas Tech?

and I'm sure that Cincy wouldn't be stunned if they lost by 45 like Tech. :P

Think about it.. if Cincy had the first and second picks for a few rounds, that'd be a huge thing. Two picks in a row.

Their coach is probably gone after this weekend. So, the new one better be pretty damned good. Or, Mike Brown could hire Bob Davie, or Terry Hoeppner (Miami-OH), or Mike Brown could sell his soul to Satan to get Bob Pruett or even Rick Minter.

Carson Palmer is a victim of the Heisman QB curse. He will be useless if he is picked first, because if he is picked first, he gets the "#1 pick double-curse" put on men like Andre Ware.

Kingsbury is a thrower. Hell, 95% of the entire offense is from the Shotgun. I don't see Cincy adapting to that. Kingsbury may have to, but I honestly don't see Kliff making it in the NFL.

Why on earth would the Bengals draft a RB?

And Larry Johnson as the #1 overall pick? That's insanity right there. The kid has only played one season. I don't care how good that season was one season should not earn a player #1 overall.

Unless Mike Brown hires a GM it won't matter what coach he hires. As long as he's making the football decisions they will be screwed with any coach.

Corey Dillion is locked in long term and is a great running back. Over a 1000 yards for six straight years. Drafting a running back is the dumbest move they could make

Keep the pick Carson Palmer or William Joseph. Trade down, draft someone like Terrence Newman, or Jordan Cross.

You don't need to draft a RB in the 1st round. Clinton Portis, Ahman Green. Priest Holmes all went in later rounds.

Well If Mike Brown had a clue he'd be calling Washington. Just to check and see if they would package one of their young CBs with some picks including their first rounder to move up to #1 overall.

Champ Bailey and Fred Smoot aren't worth trading for.

What they need to do is either draft a defensive or offensive lineman.

Kitna isn't great but he's a solid QB that could take them places.

Warrick and Johnson aren't a bad receiving duo. Warrick's a bit slow and Johnson needs to learn to run his routes properly.

It would be stupid to even attempt to draft any RB. They have Dillion who is a proven back and Luchey who just ran all over the Saints on Sunday.

They should definitely trade it. Cincy has proven time and again that they're far too inept a franchise to get a good player with their first pick. They should avoid the double whammy of bungling the first overall pick and trade it to a team that could better use it. I'm sure the Redskins would love to have it, if only so Dan Snyder has one more reason to wave his prick around.

As a Saitns fan I vote the Bengals be contracted.

I also agree in trading it just because they might as well get more players then just get another big bust

We all know what happened to Ki-Jana but what happened to Dan Wilkinson the guy they picked in 1994??

When's Brad Banks gonna be in the draft?

5th or 6th round.

Champ Bailey plus a few drafts picks including Washingtons first rounder would be a good trade for Cincinnati. Washington may even toss Patrick Ramsey in the deal. Bengals would then have a good CB, a qb for the future, a few late round picks and a top ten draft pick.

I believe that would be a good trade for Cincinnati.

I could deal with Baily, Ramsey and a 2nd round pick.

We could still get Dorsey or Eli Manning later on.

Isn't Eli Manning still a junior?

Anyway, if they keep the No. 1 pick, they should take Byron Leftwich. If not, they should use the later picks to get some good defensive linemen and a WR.

I would love if Cincy use some sort of intelligence and Called Dan Synder (Collect most likely) and hooked a Deal for Ramsey/Baily for #1 pick Carson Palmer.

Guest Mad Dog

Yeah he's a junior. Doesn't mean he won't enter the draft though.

Manning is considering leaving early. Apparently he wouldn't mind being drafted by a playoff team, like Pennington was and not have tons of pressure.

Hey, you never know, they could end up like the Chargers of last year.

A dismal team with the 1st pick, who instead of drafting Vick, traded that slot to get Tim Dwight and a few draft picks. Those picks turned out to be the quarterback (Brees) and halfback (LT) of the future.

Guest El Satanico

Yeah but the Chargers have one of the top GMs in the league running their front office.

The Bengals have Mike Brown

There is a difference

Mike Brown supposedly is letting someone else run the team next year.

I think the jury is still out on Drew Brees.
