Guest Vern Gagne Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I was gone Christmas Eve night when ESPN ran the Top 10 games of 2002. Does anyone know what they were? If I would guess, in no order. Baseball-Game 6 World Series NBA-The Entire LA-Sacramento Series NFL-The Super Bowl, and Snow Bowl NHL/Olympics-USA vs Russia CBB-Duke vs Indiana CFB-FSU vs Miami Golf- PGA Championship, Ryder Cup Tennis-Williams vs Williams
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I remember these: 10: Miami/FSU. 8: Some boxing match. 7: The International Golf Finals or something. 5: Kings/Lakers, Game 7. 4: Celtics/Nets, the comeback. 3: Super Bowl XVII. 1: Patriots/Raiders, the snow game.
Guest bob_barron Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 #2 was Game 6. Capriati v. Hingis was also on there
Guest alkeiper Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 8: Some boxing match. Almost certainly Arturo Gatti v Mickey Ward I
Guest bob_barron Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Yes- that was it. Match looked pretty good from the clips they showed
Guest Mad Dog Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Does this reair any time soon?
Guest bob_barron Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 It'll prob air on New Years' Eve I imagine. Best of Sportscentre was pretty awesome as well
Guest YouDaFoo Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 OSCAR DE LA HOYA VS. FERNANDO VARGAS HAS TO BE UP THERE! When Vargas had Oscar againest the ropes in the 1st round! I was marking the fuck out!
Guest undisputedjericho Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 It was on this morning. There was Rams/Pats, Pats/Raiders, Nets/Celtics, Lakers/Kings, Angles/Giants, Golf, and Tennis.

Guest bob_barron Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Bah- It'd be nice if ESPN mentioned that Boston's little comeback was the last game they won that year. The Nets regrouped and won three straight. Sorry- that game just makes me angry
Guest Vern Gagne Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Why are big comebacks always considered great games? All it is one team getting dominated in one half, and than dominating the second half and winning the game. To me a great game has to be a back and fourth, where both teams play well all game.
Guest bob_barron Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 Another reason why Nets v. Celtics should not have been on there
Guest Redhawk Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Did anyone see the "Best of Sportscenter" when they had the Vanderbilt football feature? Why'd they even show that?
Guest bob_barron Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Oh I know- that segment draaaaaaaaaaaged
