MONDAY NIGHT RAW: DECEMBER 18, 1995

- The show opens with Diesel standing in the ring. He says that he deserves to be the #1 Contender to the WWF title, and that he wants the title match at the Royal Rumble.

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Henry Godwinn (6:41). *½

- Goldust defeated Aldo Montoya (5:31). *

- Skip defeated Rad Radford (5:25). *½ After the match, Skip?s new tag team partner, Zip, comes down to ringside and attacks Radford.

- WWF Intercontinental champion Razor Ramon defeated Owen Hart after a Razor?s Edge (13:34). ***

 

MONDAY NIGHT RAW:  JANUARY 1, 1996

- WWF tag team champions The Smoking Gunns defeated Owen Hart & Yokozuna, Razor Ramon & Savio Vega and Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie in a 4-Team Elimination match (14:23). **¾

- Marty Jannetty defeated Psycho Sid by disqualification (8:13). **

- Bob Holly defeated Tatanka (6:44). *¼

- The Undertaker fought Diesel to a no contest in a #1 Contenders match (11:07). **

- It is announced the WWF Champion Bret Hart is granting Davey Boy Smith a title rematch next week on Raw.

 

MONDAY NIGHT RAW: JANUARY 8, 1996

- The show opens with an announcement from President Gorilla Monsoon. He states that since there was now inner in the Diesel/Undertaker match that there will now be a 3-way Dance match at the Royal Rumble between Diesel, Undertaker and Bret Hart.  What this means is that whenever a wrestler is pinned, he will eliminated from the match. The match will continue until there is only 1 man remaining, and he will be the WWF Champion.

- The Kid defeated Hakushi (9:46). **¾

- Ahmed Johnson defeated Mabel (3:51). ½* After the match, Dean Douglas came out and challenged Ahmed to a match at the Royal Rumble.

- A video hyping the debut of Big Van Vader at the Royal Rumble airs.

- Henry Godwinn defeated Kama Mustafa (6:20). ¾*

- WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Davey Boy Smith (16:39). ****

 

MONDAY NIGHT RAW: JANUARY 15, 1996

- WWF Intercontinental champion Razor Ramon defeated Psycho Sid (9:39). **

- Steve Austin defeated Bob Holly (4:27). *¾

- Bret Hart is interviewed regarding his title defense at the Royal Rumble. The Undertaker comes down to confront him.

- The Body Donnas defeated Hakushi & Barry Horowitz (6:02). **

- Shawn Michaels & Diesel defeated Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith (12:44). ***½

 

1996 ROYAL RUMBLE

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated WWF Intercontinental champion Razor Ramon (16:48) to win the title after The  Kid interfered. **¾

- Ahmed Johnson defeated Dean Douglas (8:22) after the ?Pearl River Plunge.? *¼

- WWF tag team champions The Smoking Gunns defeated Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie (11:36). **  

- Shawn Michaels won the 30-man Royal Rumble (64:39) to earn a WWF title shot at WrestleMania XII. ***¾ Order of elimination: Zip, Fatu, Bam Bam Bigelow, Henry Godwinn, Duke Drose, Mo, Bart Gunn, Savio Vega, Tatanka, Aldo Montoya, Hakushi, Marty Jannetty, Skip, Goldust, Mabel, Yokozuna, Barry Horowitz, Jake Roberts, Bob Holly, Billy Gunn, The Kid, Jerry Lawler, Psycho Sid, Steve Austin, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Davey Boy Smith, Razor Ramon, Big Van Vader & Owen Hart.

- WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated The Undertaker and Diesel (27:14) in a 3-way Dance. ***½  (Undertaker pinned Diesel at 18:57. Bret Hart pinned Undertaker at 27:14 after Diesel came back and gave Undertaker a jackknife powerbomb.)
