Also Aaron what's his name (The talk show radio host) is supposedly fired. Either I'm listening to the wrong station (620 am sporting news) or... Something's messed up. Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted December 27, 2002 from 411wrestling.com: Show opens as they call him "STONE COLD KILLER" and they mention sponsors and other guests. They call him a real physical specimen and he wants to put Austin in a headlock. The theme music plays and they talk about some other stuff and boxing. Then some guy named Matt compares boxing and wrestling. They then talk to this guy Dave who talks about boxing. And I know you don't care about that…so here's the Austin stuff Aaron says that he's Austin's biggest fan and says that Austin is the best wrestler in the world today. He asks Austin about helping out with Hits and Hoops on Saturday (I don't know what that is) Austin says he can't wait to go there on the 29th in Brooklyn to help out with the Hoops and Hits thing. Aaron thanks Steve again for coming on the show and says it's the biggest show he's ever had and it's kind for Austin to speak with him. Austin said since he's been on hiatus from the WWF(E) (he said F) he thinks that he's been in the best shape he's ever been in in quite some time. He's been working out a lot and staying in shape. He wonders what 2003 is going to hold for him. Aaron asks how much Austin weighs. Austin thinks 260-265 lbs. Aaron asks what he thinks Austin's strongest move these days. Austin says he doesn't know, and that he's been too beat up (from wrestling) to be that strong. He's been trying to look decent and to be kept together. Aaron wants to know if Austin eats a special diet. Austin says he eats a lot of proteins and carbohydrates and about 6 meals a day so he gets enough calories to put on some weight. He eats low fat foods and has cut back on beer (GASP). He does cardio for about 45 minutes a day and his weight workout is about an hour and a half. He works one body part a day. He does about 6-10 reps per set. Aaron asks if Austin's workout is like a heavyweight boxer's. Austin respects boxing and watches fights on PPV. He says it's much different because his knees are shot and he has to work out on a cross-trainer everyday. He has a heavy bag in his storage room and he used to have a speed bag. He respects boxers for their conditioning. Austin does what he can for being prepared in a ring. Aaron wants to know how much time a round is in wrestling. Austin says there is none in the U.S. but in England sometimes they use the round system. He says matches can last from 5 min. to an hour. But at house shows they can last about 20 minutes.(I'm assuming he means PPV's) Aaron talks about Tyson and asks if Austin helped out Tyson's career at all. Austin like Tyson and says it was a pleasure working with him in his feud with Shawn Michaels. He respects Tyson. He says Mike knows more about the old time wrestlers than some of the wrestlers in the business today do. He says wherever he guys he gets mainstream publicity and he makes people money. Aaron wants to know if age has anything to do with effecting the life of a wrestler. Austin thinks so. He has turned 38 and says it was easier for him to take the bumps from age 24-30 and up to 35, and at 38 he feels a lot more now. (They then talk about Larry Holmes at age 53 and how he thinks he can beat any younger boxer) Austin says he isn't getting any younger but he's trying to make it last as long as it can and try to live better. Aaron calls Austin an American hero. Austin says that's a wonderful compliment. He says he hasn't done too much in the past few months but looks forward to spending time at Hits and Hoops because his last appearance in VA was big. Aaron asks if he drink milk. Austin says he drinks 2% or skim milk because his metabolism is slowing down and to keep his waistline thin. Aaron asks Austin if he can do a split Austin says he hated stretching since football. Austin played a runningback in high school and a linebacker in college. He says a heel in wresting is more defensive minded and a face is more offensive minded. Aaron thanks Austin for joining him and doesn't want Austin to put him in a headlock.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted December 27, 2002 So he's Austin's biggest fan...and yet doesn't know that there isn't a round system in the WWF. I love how all these radio guys pretend to know things
