Guest Mole Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Wait, is Show in Team Angle? If so, he should wear the red/white/blue tights too. To make it complete. The 5th member? Got me
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Matt should beat brock - if only to put more fuel to his ego-fire. Brock should have his moment of weakness, but it shouldn't be consistant. He should eventually defeat team Angle, but in the end (before WM) not beat Kurt. That would put an added importance and value to the champ.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 They have to let Matt beat brock next week. It's a must. Have Team Angle win the match for him, and then Kill Brocky. Then just destroy Brock every week, never letting him get the upper hand. Kill him immediately after he wins the rumble. Make brock an underdog and Team Angle unbeatable. I don't think I should bother asking, but after all these consecutive weeks of nothing but Angle and friends squashing Brock, the big payoff in the end will be Brock cleanly beating Angle in a one on one match...right? That's going to be the pay off anyway, so why not have Angle look good before that? I'm beginning to accept that Brock is getting the God push and Angle is fodder. It doesn't matter to Vince that Angle is better than Brock in every possible way, because Brock is BIG~!

Got me Naw, Team Angle is part of Heyman's "family" but Team Angle isn't the whole group. Show's in the "family" but not Team Angle.
Guest Choken One Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 It really does look good, Matt Hardy would be good for Team Angle playing the Pillman role (remember, Pillman didn't always run with Hart Foundation during their run). I really love the simplicity of Benjamin's and Haas Costume. LOVE the Amatur Wrestling Connection (Brock-Benjamin). Just need to find a Member of the University of Pittsburgh Wrestling team and throw him with Brock.
Guest iamsherm Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Yeah but its likely they are just a tool to anger Brock some more. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that how "sports entertainment" is supposed to work? The heel pisses off the face and ultimately the face ends up getting revenge? I don't see the problem here.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 The end of Smackdown gave me goosebumps. I *loved* the beatdown. That is how heel beatdowns should be. This heel group is great. And I love how they are still keeping Brock in the storyline but aren't pushing Benoit aside. I hope they keep this up, I really do.
Guest red_file Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 It doesn't matter to Vince that Angle is better than Brock in every possible way, because Brock is BIG~! So, in truth, it's not every possible way.
Guest geniusMoment Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Hmmm.... A wrestler who uses suplexs and mat wrestling heads up his own team heading into his biggest match and run. Where have I seen this Heyman booking before. TEAM TAZ TEAM TAZ TEAM TAZ Next week the whistle comes back
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 They should have team Angle hold benoit at their evil olympic lair and Brock has to go in to save him. *Brock enters a training room with Mirrors on the wall* *Angle's voice is heard* Angle: Welcome to my Lair Brock. It's a shame you will never leave! MUahahahahaha. Brock: AAAAAAAAAANGLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE! *Brock throws dumbell into the mirrors* *Brock finds a secret passage behind the mirrors and is led to a maze that contains traps and other villianish things. *Brock finds Benoit tied up in a chair, beaten and bruised. Brock: Hang on Benoit, I'll untie you. Benoit: No.....No....It's a...traaaaap... *Team Angle jumps from the shadows* *ZAP! *BONK! *F5 *Brock and Benoit leave the hideout just in time as it explodes. Benoit: Thank Buddy. *Brock looks stoically into the fire Brock: It's not over yet... Buddy. *Brock stares stoically into the fire as Benoit nods behind him. A Helicopter birds-eye shot finishes the scene and a Wrestlemania 19 graphic shows up Vince Mcmahons voice: BRRRRRRRRRRRRROCK! VERSUS ANGLLLLLLLLLE!WRRRRRRRRRESTLEMANIA 19!

Rob E Dangerously Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I doubt Big Show could fit into his Captain Insano outfit. But he should try to look like the other two guys on Team Angle. Even if they look like god damn American Gladiators. Team Angle can't beat Team Russo (Mongo and Billy Joe Tolliver) [cheap plug for my WWW e-fed on the fantasy board]

Guest Brian Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I really like the driection this is going, with Brock/Benoit post-Mania and an Angle face-turn.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 That promo was beautiful. "Thank you for your relevant opinion" made me LOL.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Hmm...something I noticed.... Team Angle to Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar... ...is what Tenryu and Kabuki were to Yokozuna and Lex Luger. Team Angle will probably enter the Royal Rumble on Angle and Heyman's orders to make sure Brock Lesnar doesn't win it... Just like Tenryu and Kabuki were entered into Royal Rumble 1994 on Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji, and Jim Cornette's orders to make sure Lex Luger didn't win.
Guest converge241 Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 amen we need a good 4 on 4 match for them on a Smackdown i dont mind Show in there cause you need a big monster guy to do the bidding of the others personally i would have rather had OHaire, but I'm probably in the minority on that one

No, that is what the Wrestlemania payoff will be, but it will only be the begining of their feud. This fued will make both of these guys, much more than what they are right now, along with anyone having to do with this angle.

So, in truth, it's not every possible way. Size means shit. And really, Show isn't too bad in this role. personally i would have rather had OHaire, but I'm probably in the minority on that one Keep him the hell away from Team Angle.

Booking that makes sense?! *gasp* That would be a cool way to progress the storyline, since Brock will likely be in the rumble.
Guest midnight_burn Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 If they add a 5th man to the group, i have a very bad feeling it will be "Future Main Eventer" Bill DeMott. In fact i'm almost certain DeMott will end up with them, because the WWE just loves to add in crap to screw up 'can't miss' storylines. Considering the WWE's recent hoss lovefest i'm surprised they didn't make Team Angle A-Train and DeMott, at least the WWE didn't go the stupid route on that one.

Guest cabbageboy Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Nah, DeMott won't be in the group. He's getting his little token push beating up cruisers but it'll all amount to jack shit like every other attempt to push Hugh Morrus. He'll eventually face someone he cannot possibly go over (Edge, Benoit, Brock) and that will be that.
Guest Choken One Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I agree that Bill Demott is never touching Team Angle and is just getting a little push as a thank you. However, Isn't Atrain already a part of Heyman's Family tree?
Guest Lemon Drop Kid Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Is a "Haas" as valuable as a "Hoss"?
Guest Anglesault Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 However, Isn't Atrain already a part of Heyman's Family tree? No he's Not. NOT NOT NOT NOT!
Guest Banky Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I think this stable is perfect as is. Spokesman: Heyman Leader: Angle Bodyguard: Show Loyal Henchman: Benjamin and Haas. Team Angle rules. Los Guerreros still own their soul.
Guest Lemon Drop Kid Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 I wish there were still Saturday Night's Main Event, because they'd have a ready-made main event with Benoit/Lesnar/Edge vs Angle/Haas/Benjamin. Maybe the more obvious one would be Lesnar/Benoit vs Angle/Show, but far be it from me to lament the absence of the Big Show.
Guest Choken One Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 Are their any more Guerreros? Let's bring the whole family in, Hector and the rest!
