Guest razazteca Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I am watching this movie on STARZ/ENCORE and I am dying laughing at how bad this movie is. Here are some choice segments: 1) In the boardroom meeting of WTN, the owner is asking the members what sells, one guy suggest a game show, another suggest a sitcom, but the owner cuts them off with yelling WRONG then picks up a poster of Hulk Hogan (Rip) in the movie and says THIS SELLS. 2) In the bar scene with the NHB fighting Stan Hansen is in a Half T-Shirt spitting tobacco everywhere, then goes on to fight using some hillbilly HOSS 3) Hogan at Sadies Diner scene where he stops a robbery by starting a food fight 4) All that the crossed eyed heel Zeus does in the movie is grunt and has a workrate of double axe handle attacks with evil stare downs and Intense Poses that HHH does today minus the water spitting
Guest Mole Report post Posted December 27, 2002 In Hogan's book, he talks about the movie a whole bunch. Basically, they ran it on a small budget, with Vince and Hogan re-writing the whole movie. It's funny because the double-axe was the move they told him to use.

Guest Mole Report post Posted December 27, 2002 It can't hold a candle to the greatness that is Santa With Muscles. No way, 3 Ninjas and Mr Nanny kicked ass. You know what is scary about Mr. Nanny? Hogan came up with the idea himself.

Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I own the video and santa with muscles, im evil. Am I alone in noticing how much the movie has simialr stuff to what the ufc became. "Battle of the Toughguys", octagon ring, etc. And isnt this the most ironic movie ever since hogan did jump ship and it ended up destroying the company. And Im still really confused, Hogan is a good guy because he KILLED another human being, evil or not, he's a murder. And trutfully, didnt the bad guy win. They did show the match on HIS network, and he would recieve all the profits from merch and advertising not to mention future home video release. So really, I dont see how Rip won since he commited what appears to be a double homicide and the bad guys company can make millions off a wrongful deathlaw suit. Rip had no reason to really kill him, he should have went to the cops, he was blackmailing him, not something that would allow him to commit justifiable homicide. Plot holes are fun. Well, who wrote the film? Vince and Hogan himself. And are there EVER any plot holes in wrestling? I rest my case.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted December 27, 2002 They should try to recreate the gym room/mirror scene in EVERY main event feud in the WWF. I mean, just picture Brock vs. Kurt like this... GOLD.

Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted December 27, 2002 "All My Rowdy Friends" is the Monday Night Football theme song. It was a big hit for Hank and then they had him rewrite it for them. They were only supposed to use it for like a year, but it caught on. Notice in No Holds Barred how the bad guys are blacks and jews. Just saying.

Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted December 28, 2002 My favorite part is at the end, when the TV Exec bad guy destroys the control room, thereby knocking out the feed to the match that HE promoted and devoted HIS time just to get big ratings. And in another bit of stupidity, he also walked into a machine that he had just destroyed a few seconds ago and gets electrocuted. But the best part is in the whole scene is the crowd's reaction after he dies: "YEA!!!!" Sure, 2 men just got killed in brutal fashion, but who cares? Rip (Hulk Hogan) won! YEA!!! I love that movie. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted December 29, 2002 I thought I was the only person who thought that it was fucked-up how Hogan brutally murders his opponent, yet the whole arena cheers wildly and all the little kids love him. What the hell kind of sick society is that? Though come to think of it, the Hulkster used to beat the shit out of Sherri, strip her clothes off, yet somehow he was a big All-American hero. This is why I was a Hogan-hating smark as I was growing up.
