Guest y2jailbait Report post Posted December 27, 2002 Its pure fantasy, but its always nice to ask yourself as a smark that question. If i were to become a wrestler, and i had my career pass me by, I'd like to see it go something like this.................. *Trained to become a wrestler by age 25 *Work the indies for 3-4 years *Work for Mexico and learn the Lucha style of wrestling *Get a developmental deal with WWE at 31 and use the lucha style to get over with the fans *Get to the big show in a couple of months and make a noticable impact, but end up floundering in the lower to mid card range *Eventually released and get work overseas and make a great name for myself by working over in japan *Work for at least 6 years in Japan and become a national phenom *Come back to the states and get back with the WWE at age 40, and live off the name that i had made in Japan, but never get past the midcard again. *Retire at 43 Its an odd question, i personally just had to get that out, but im curious to see if anyone else has something like this on there mind. Guest Lemon Drop Kid Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I've been considering on and off training to become a wrestler actually, but for me it'd be more like a hyper-intense hobby, so I'd just kick around indies on weekends if possible. I do think I could be a great manager though.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted December 28, 2002 I'd like to see it go something like this... Backyard wrestle with a few friends, non-hardcore, and send some clips to the makers of those "Best of BYW" tapes. Age: 18. Get trained at a nearby wrestling school. Age 20. Work nearby indies. Age: 21. Send tapes of my work to bigger indies, like XPW, CZW, RoH, NWA Wildside, and TNA. Age: 25. Do some XPW work as a worker with an old-school, anti-hardcore gimmick (see: "anti-hardcore" Cactus Jack, Steve Corino). Age: 27. Get signed to TNA for x amount of shows, and keep renewing the contract. Age: 29. Retire after doing tours of Japan and TNA dates. Age: 37. Get a job at a nearby indie record store. Age: 38. Work at same wrestling school I went to. Age: 40.
