Guest converge241 Posted March 8, 2002 Report Posted March 8, 2002 Well, Panic Room is coming up and wanted to throw this one out there. If I missed a movie, feel free to bitch me out. i love all these movies but the best has to to Fight Club.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 8, 2002 Report Posted March 8, 2002 Seven is the best. I hate Fight Club. It stole it's ending from me...and didn't pull it off nearly as well.
Guest TUS_02 Posted March 8, 2002 Report Posted March 8, 2002 I've always been partial to The Game. It's a fucking addictive movie done by an excellent director. Panic Room looks amazing. Fight Club was also a great film, based on cinematography and mise en scene. The story was pretty good, and b/c I never read the book... the ending works for me.
Guest Army Eye Posted March 9, 2002 Report Posted March 9, 2002 Seven and Fight Club are real close. Fight Club by a hair.. Preview for Panic Room looks very cool.
Guest Anorak Posted March 9, 2002 Report Posted March 9, 2002 Fight Club just beats out Seven in my opinion, Fincher has already established his own distinctive filmmaking style in these handful of films. He seems to be the key auteur of the modern age, his work has a unique depth and power to it.
Guest teke184 Posted March 9, 2002 Report Posted March 9, 2002 My choice is Fight Club. As for the other films, Alien 3 is a disappointment in its released form (the comic book version depicts Fincher's true cut of the film which is, IMHO, MUCH better), The Game had a pussified ending (due to studio pressure?), and Seven is just too disturbing to be considered entertainment to me. As for Fight Club's ending, I think it was more appropriate then that of the book, especially since I think it would be very difficult to properly depict the ending of the book on film.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 11, 2002 Report Posted March 11, 2002 Se7en...but it is the only Fincher movie I have seen besides Alien 3
