clique 2002 - if its true

Theres a lot of stuff on this board about how suddenly Austin & Rock are jobbing - looking unmotivated while HHH is pushed at head babyface, the nWo are all over TV and X - Pac is slated for a push in the nWo when he returns.

Everybody says Vince should have learned and LOOK at 95 - 96 when WWF did bad buyrates and the clique did nothing but hurt him.

Didnt HHH and X - Pac play a pretty big part in the WWFs ressurection?

Just a thought.

Anyway, that decimation and manipulation of / by the top line talent led to the pushes that led to the WWFs greatest sucess (Austin, Rock, HHH).

With Austin losing his legs slowly, Taker on his last legs and Rock possibly soon to be a movie star and the nWo will NEVER last out their two year contracts.

But the midcard under this six is AMAZING.

The undercard for WM 12 was pathetic as was the undercard for WM 13, with only Taker - Diesel and Austin - Hart of note, the wealth of riches the WWF now has is almost embarrasing (especially when you think of how poorly they have been handled of late).

Once the current big stars drop off we have Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Rob van Dam, Edge, Christian, Test to fill the void.

If the big stars do the job for this group as they go (Hart & Michaels both jobbed for Austin) they could move the WWF forward to a WM 16 - 17 level of sucess by WM XX at MSG.

For the moment the nWo HAVE to be all over TV as it is the nature of the gimmick.  But once these 'stars' start dropping off, one or two mega pushes for the likes of Angle and Edge could produce the next Rock or Austin.

That's a nice enough sentiment, but the current crop of top stars are going to be around for a while yet.  Austin is around his late 30's and if he's anything like his predecessors he will be around well into his 40's.  Triple H is only in his early 30's and will be aorund way too long for my liking.

I agree that I don't think the NWO will last two years but a lot of damage can be wrought in that time.  It only took WCW a coupla years to belly-up.

Reading this I got some strange idea that if the wwf does have a long term plan. You know I think a lot of people are forgetting the wwf is splitting. It's not going to be one huge top to bottom roster. It's splitting. The younger guys will get their spots on one of the shows. Even if the wwf plans to split the brand names it still opens up space. I think the wwf is going for the nitro/raw effect with the established stars against rising stars. Then by WM XX in Madison Square Garden the two divisions will be at a fever pitch like nitro/raw was in 1998. If the wwf is smart that would be Austin's last match. It will take about two years to really get Edge, RVD, and the likes at the level of Rock and Triple H. In 1998 Rock and Trips were at the spots RVD and Ede were at it. In 2000, they were headling WrestleMania.

Maybe mastermind is right (Which is a good idea), but the WWF with a long term plan? Kinda hard to belive with the way they're booking, but you never know.

Maybe a little off subject, but has WMXX already been confirmed for MSG?  How did you find that out?

I don't think it's been confirmed, but the WWF has gone there every 10 years. WM 1 & WM X were both at MSG, so one would think WM's 20th birthday would take place at MSG.
