Guest YouDaFoo Report post Posted December 28, 2002 I barely beat them last time. But, they beat your team TWICE. Mwhahaha. Hey atleast their isn't a shadow of a doubt we are going to the playoffs, and atleast we wouldnt get beaten by suckatude teams like the Vikings and THE FREAKIN BENGALS! Now if that was Tampa playing the Bengals, we would use their helmets for toilet paper!
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted December 28, 2002 Neither of our teams did good last week. Period.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 28, 2002 The part of this that really hurts is that if Tampa would have won the Pittsburgh game, they'd be in a good position to get the #1 seed right now. Other than that and the possible Green Bay homefield advantage, this is the greatest thing that's ever happened. New Orleans is gone. No way in hell Atlanta's losing to Cleveland. Also, it was great to see Philadelphia lose. God, I hate those bastards.
Guest YouDaFoo Report post Posted December 28, 2002 hey atleast we lost to a good team, and we have an excuse, no BRAD JOHNSON. Whats your excuse?
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 28, 2002 I'd be remiss in not pointing out that Tampa did play the Bengals earlier this season and they did, in fact, beat the living fuck out of them.

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted December 28, 2002 hey atleast we lost to a good team, and we have an excuse, no BRAD JOHNSON. Whats your excuse? Aaron Brooks. Haslett should put in the other QB. Our defense.
Guest YouDaFoo Report post Posted December 28, 2002 Yeah Cleveland is pretty good, they aint no Bengals(hahahah Flyboy). GO BUCS~!

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted December 29, 2002 OK.. Lets see: Ravens make the 2nd Wild Card based on a 7 way 8-8 tie breaker (best division record) if: They beat the Steelers - Since the Steelers are guaranteed to be playing in the wild card round at home (first round byes to the Raiders and Titans [as long as the Titans beat the Texans]), they have nothing to play for and might sit some of their players so they'll be healthy for next week. I could see the Ravens winning.. Browns lose to the Falcons - The Falcons and the Browns are both playing for a playoff spot. The both currently hold wild card spots but would lose them if the lose and someone else wins. The Falcons are a better team the Browns. Go Falcons! Jets lose to the Packers - Packers are playing for Home Field Advantage with a win since the Eagles lost. You know they want to be playing at home at Lambeau...this is a gimme..even if the fact that the Jets could win the AFC East if they win and the Dolphins lose..which brings me to.. Patriots lose to the Dolphins - its starting to get a bit fishy..no pun intended.. Whoever wins this game wins the AFC East and the loser is out. The Patriots probably want it more seeing as they are the defending SB champs and the Game is in New England..I could see the Dolphins winning, but its gonna take a lot... The Broncos lose to the Cardinals. Now this is grasping at straws..I suppose it COULD happen..the only way the Broncos make the playoffs is if everyone else loses as well since their conference record (5-7) is the worst of any non-eliminated team. And if all the above happens, then.. The Chargers have to lose to the Seahawks. That unfortunately is the least likely to happen even though the Chargers are hurtin and need pretty much the same miracles to happen to make the playoffs. So, if all of the above happens...there would be some SERIOUS miracle workin going on.. And of course none of this matters if the Ravens can't beat the Steelers.. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted December 29, 2002 EDIT: I'll try to grade those outcomes on how likely it is to happen... Ravens beat the Steelers - ???...50% chance of happening. Browns lose to the Falcons - THIS is the last likely to happen...the Browns have pulled miracles before, reference to the "Hail Mary" from earlier this season. 35% chance.. Jets lose to the Packers - I'm sorry Jet fans....99.9% Patriots lose to the Dolphins - Ouch. It is New England, though...60% The Broncos lose to the Cardinals- Plummer is playing for a ticket out of Arizona, so he might just go apeshit though...40% chance of happening. The Chargers have to lose to the Seahawks.- Definitely not hard. The Chargers have been struggling, and the Seahawks have been surprising many fans as of late...50% chance. Guest DrTom Report post Posted December 29, 2002 Some of my percentages are a little different, but tossing them all together means the Ravens have about a 2.5% chance of making the playoffs. I wouldn't hold out too much hope there. And since Brian Billick recently revealed himself to the world as a gutless fucking coward, I'm really not sure I want the Ravens in the playoffs. Hmm..you've given me a sliver of hope, except for that 35% on the Browns/Falcons game. It pretty much sucks because the early games are the ones I think are most likely to happen, and the Chargers and Broncos games are at 4pm.. I honestly would rather NOT see the Ravens make the playoffs just for them to lose in the first round against the Dolphins..(who they would have to play if this whole scenario plays out..the Steelers would get the Colts..) My only saving thought is that the Ravens beat the Titans in a tight game , and lost to the Colts in a close game in Indy.., and if they make the playoffs, they will have beaten the Steelers once...and diiging a bit, they did go into Oakland in 2000 and beat the Raiders in the AFC Championship game so at least I know that can be done.. Of course, the Ravens chances of making the playoffs would probably be as improbable as it was talking about the Ravens in the playoffs before the season started.. Guest cartman Report post Posted December 29, 2002 Correct me if I am wrong but I believe there is a situation in which IF the Pats beat Miami today and the Jets lose to GB(which I believe they will even though it's in NY) then there is a chance that Miami stays here in New England to play the Pats AGAIN in the playoffs...wouldnt THAT be interesting? Guest Kinetic Report post Posted December 29, 2002 I'll bring the point I made in the predictions thread here: As per the Tampa Bay cold weather statistic: You need to remember that the vast majority of these losses come from seasons where they had trouble winning any games, regardless of the weather. Their recent winning ways have erased the stigma to an extent, but there was a time when the Bucs were a complete joke along the lines of the current Bengals. That they haven't won a cold weather game in the Dungy and post-Dungy eras is peculiar, but you have to figure that it's going to happen eventually. And what better time than against a pitiful Chicago team in a game where they could very well be fighting for a bye week?
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted December 29, 2002 I heard it isn't going to be under 40 in Illinois today so they still won't have erased that stigma. Besides the Bears aren't really as bad as their record (just like they weren't as good as their record last year). Without Brad Johnson at QB TB was hideous. Tampa's one shot at getting a bye is if they win and GB loses to the Jets.
Guest cartman Report post Posted December 29, 2002 ...and any hopes of the Pats winning just slipped through Lawyer Milloy's greedy hands...
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted December 29, 2002 Browns have an early lead over the Falcons, 3-0 and currently marching down the field after a Vick interception. Saints 3, Panthers 0 as well.
