Guest Brian Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 With Shamrock gone and Metger a memory in Ortiz's path, is it logical that they should start building to this match. With Shamrock holding a win over him at UFC 22, and him being a Lion's Den fighter, this could be a big fight.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 I don't see why Frank would want too though. Logic says it would draw good money though.
Guest Army Eye Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Absolutely. The question is whether Frank's up for it. We still don't know what his plans are (unless you've heard something). Pride could probably pay him more. I hope Frank is prominently featured on the New Year's Eve show. Best UFC fighter EVER. And besides, gotta introduce the newb fans to Frank, whose run was during the dark period where hardly anybody could see the shows. Then if the Shamrock/Ortiz rematch happens, all the better that more people have been exposed to him! I imagine, at the very least, that Tito vs. Frank will be on the show. That's one of the all-time biggest, and best fights. We KNOW Tito would take this rematch It's all on Frank. But would he be more interested in going to Pride and challenging Silva?
Guest Angle-plex Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Aren't Frank and Tito friends now? I'm pretty sure UFC would have to pay them a lot of money to fight each other.
Guest Army Eye Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Yeah I believe so. Tito is also very good friends with Liddell and he's using it as leverage to get more money.
