SWF CHAMPIONS OF THE WOOOOORLD...

Eh, this is slightly based off of a thread that I think was made towards the beginning of 2002. I was pretty bored, and just sort of thinking along the lines of... who exactly [on the current WF and JL roster] is going to win the WF championship this year [er.. next year, but it's only in 2 days, so yeah]? Anyhow, after some INTENSE~! pondering, which took me about 3 minutes, I came up with a short list of people who could very well be future World Champs, and why. Here're my picks... and um, just to brew us up some interest, I advise you to list yours as well, as long as you don't list everyone in the entire fucking fed.

 

--TNT'S PICKS FOR THE SWF WORLD CHAMPION, FOR THE YEAR 2003--

 

"The Superior One" Tom Flesher - I won't even go into details with my first pick, because if you DON'T see a future champ in Taamo here, well... you're fucktarded. He's already beaten ELM, and is always determined to win, win, and win some more. He's constantly putting out solid storylines while still maintaining his stable, and evolving his character. He's really the one sure thing in this fed right now, and he's the next World Champion, no doubt. I just hope that he retired and drops the belt to Cutthroat before I ever come back, so that I don't die.

 

Frost - 1st or 2nd best writer in the fed. Constant conquerer of people who have been around waaay longer than him. Consistantly showing and putting out solid matches every time he's booked. Tag champ who THINKS that he's "in line for a US title shot" when he really should be invading ICTV-World right now. My pick for the Clusterf*ck winner. Matched in skill-level only by Taamo, who could very well be the World champ come February. Improving every second at a monsterous rate. Yeah, I'd say he's a future champion, alright.

 

Judge Mental - Though he's not doing *too* well in the SWF so far... this guy really tore it up down in the JL, EL KABONGING~! everything to a degree that only Thugg could match. Now, if he can just get a few wins under his belt up here, and get into the swing of things... maybe acquiring that extra little thing that makes the SWF'ers SWF'ers... Well, he'll be on his way to glory. He's improving by the minute, anyway.

 

Orochi - I think this is fairly self-explanitory. Thoth has been here FOREVER, and has been at ICTV-level for almost as long. I'd say this is his break-out year, if he can get a solid streak and story going, without fucking up the blowoff...

 

H-Ville Thugg - This all really depends on whether or not Thugg *wants* the title. At first, when he returned, I really thought of his return as an excuse to feud with the entire CC... as I really just couldn't picture Thugg on the same level as the current roster. He was God, when he was around... and that was when he was competing with the likes of Edwin, Mark, King, ect. Now however, it looks as if he actually *is* going to be a part of the regular roster. So, by applying the equation "Thugg = God", we can safely assume that after a month or two of shaking off the inevitable ring rust he's absorbed, Thugg will be in the run for the title, and win it soon after.

 

"Deathwish" Danny Williams - An excellent technician with an unbelievable grasp on psych, and unlimited potential that I've been talking about since I joined, but half of the fed is JUST coming to grips with. Danny's horrible, horrible grammar and rather non-descript writing were the only things really keeping Danno down before his return, and now he's back... and after reading Annie/Danny, I must say... Jesus. His writing is flashier than a good portion of the federation's, his grammar has improved by miles, and his spacing is on par with Thugg's. Regarding the future, I see a steady and fucking LONG US title run that has already begun, unless Frost can get it off of him... and then an elevation up to ICTV level. Dominant ICTV title run there, and meh, truth be told, he'll probably get stuck there for a bit. But you can count on it... if he plays his cards right and continues to improve, by the end of the year, he'll have gotten the

Erek Taylor - Sure, he's not here right now, but I have a strange feeling that we at the SWF haven't seen the last of the CRAAAAAAAAAAZY former-ICTV champ. He's already beaten the CURRENT World Champion before, and that was when he was still green. He pulled upset after upset when he was here, winning the ICTV championship, and then skyrocketing right up to... oh wait, he dissapeared. Well, if he ever comes back, you can bet that he'll continue right where he left off, and reach his initial potential in no time. If only if it weren't for that fucking ring-rust... but meh, that only delays his success, he's still World Champ by the end of the year, methinks.

 

 

There're my top seven... Outside chances would include Z, if he can stop fucking no-showing [hey, he's had a showing streak, I'll give him that much credit... and if he can just continue like he is now, he'll be WF champ, no doubt]... TBS, if he can improve and raise his skill level up just one more notch... I really see Annie getting up to ICTV level, and then getting stuck, but Lord knows she could very well get over that hump... MAG's due to have one more reign in order... and then there's me. While I suck the big one, and don't plan on returning any time soon, it's always fun to pretend, isn't it?

 

Anyhow, there're my picks... a bit longer than I had planned, but uh, yeah, add yours too. Don't have to be nearly as long... I'm just curious to everyone's opinions and the like.

World title?

 

Tom Flesher - duh. this is the world's easiest pick.

 

Orochi - Smelling a tweener-Tom full on heel-Orochi feud possibly. Tom will be face by default only for the duration of the series.

 

Frost - Next in line, and has so much story to work with. I envy him greatly.

 

Danny Williams - He's about ready for ICTV now, and at this rate may just jump the other two I mentioned not named Flesher for the World.

 

 

 

 

 

I wonder how I'll do this year. I'd like to think I have enough in me to make it to ICTV before real life deals me another time-management blow. I'd like at least one shot at World before I retire, whether I win or not, I'd love a shot.

 

I think I got a shot at ICTV if I keep improving. being the first woman to do so would be coolio.

I'll say this much... I don't think anyone can predict just who will win the title but Flesher seems like a lock. And Frost may just be a lock but after that its as open as it can get. We'll just have to wait and see how the 03 turns out but I could see Annie's list being correct.

 

And don't worry Tod, there's been no love for a lot of people but that doesn't mean others don't think they have a legit chance at the World strap this year. Character wise I'm looking forward to the 03, putting some stuff together and making this thing fun. Even after all the drama it feels like we'll have a good year.

 

I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect to move up the card and prove that I wasn't just hype after my first month or so bumped. Hopefully I can do in the 03 what I couldn't in the 02 and help some other folks as well.
