Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 30, 2002 My God, what in the world is going on in the, uh, world now-a-days? Things are getting very, odd, I suppose I can say here lately. Anyhow, here is the report... YEAREND PICTURES 2002 - An eight-month old rooster weighing 3.3kg, stands on grass May 22, 2002 at the Hebrew University in Rehovot. Israeli scientists at the Agriculture department of the university have genetically engineered bare-skinned chickens as part of a research project to develop succulent, low fat poultry that is environmentally friendly. The naked chicken, as the bird has been dubbed, would also save poultry farmers large amounts of money on ventilation to prevent their chickens from overheating. REUTERS/Havakuk Levison ...I'm sure many of you have heard of this and seen this, but I had to share it. Here is a picture of this oddity... ...what's next, a hariless Albert? Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Guest Downhome Report post Posted December 30, 2002 That is just odd. Now they will just have to pay to keep the damn thing warm. True, but not as much since it will be mainly for tropical type areas, and places like the middle east and whatnot, which is what these were created for to specificly live at. Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted December 30, 2002 Why is it that I see a couple of feathers sticking out of it's leg? Did they not do the job all the way? Or maybe it's something else I'm seeing...
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted December 31, 2002 Aww, how cute. Too bad it's male, or I could have made bad jokes about naked chicks. It's just asking for a naked cock joke or the pickup line of "Hey, baby. Wanna see my naked cock?" Anyway, it's a chicken. Chickens are edible. Eat it. Guest Samurai_Goat Report post Posted December 31, 2002 I think, next, they should have a boneless chicken. That'd be great.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted January 1, 2003 This might be a dumb question, but since there's no feathers to protect it, wouldn't the meat get a lot dirtier and pick up more germs and thus be less healthy?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted January 1, 2003 Chickens are FILTHY, feathers or not. The offal and garbage that's actually ingested by livestock is much worse than having shit smeared on them.

Yech, forgot about the diet of a chicken. If it wasn't for the fact that it was such an expensive lifestyle I'd become a vegetarian.
