Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 8, 2002 I really hate when a wrestler who is supposed to be taken seriously has a poorly thrown together wrestling attire! Was it just me or did Hall look stupid? I mean his elbow pad on the right arm was WAY too small. His tights had no design, just Hall and Kliq. where was the paint drops there? Red boots? Those are dumb enough looking on Chuck Palumbo (lol, Palumbo and Hall alike, what a coincidence) Hall just looked like hell to me and he was in decent shape. Maybe I'm to critical, but I like it a lot better and have a much easier time taking someone seriously when they take pride in their attire. Hall's vest looked like a crappy airbrush shop in the mall threw it together as did the rest of everything. His get-up should have been more polished and even, with black boots. That's just me. I don;t think I could bare the Wrestlemania co-main event with an opponent looking that much like crap. Am I looking too much into that, or does anyone agree? Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 8, 2002 He had the old school attire with the red drops on them when he worked the house shows...so I don't know why they went another way on TV.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 8, 2002 Yeah, that's what I heard. I just feel like if you're in the main event of the biggest wrestling company in the world, you should jhave a good look to you. Hall did not exemplify this and I sure as hell hope he does at X-8. Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 8, 2002 Its a small thing but it is noticable. i dont care for those Kliq tights (or Hogan in white sneakers in an all black outfit for that matter). booker's new logo is weird too. A bad Metallica logo?
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 8, 2002 The nWo just didn't look good overall last night. Nash: Looked like a big idiot. Took the Rock's punches by swingin his left arm in a circle and then stooping over and staring at him waitng for the next, followed by stupid looking stumbling. Couldn't fall over the ropes right and took 2 chairshots to the arm. Got no offense. Hogan: Yes, the sneakers were pitiful. I did like the emotion surrounding him and Rock's staredown. Hall: As mentioned above. He looked like the same Hall who just got squashed in there with Goldberg before Hollywood lost to him on that Nitro in 1997. I was also disappointed in the lack of emotion and suspense in the first actual lockup on TV of an nWo member and a WWF main eventer. Hall/Rock for the first time in ages, and there was nothing there. Talk about crappy booking and stupid looking heels. Too jumbled last night.
Guest What?! Report post Posted March 8, 2002 You know what I hate. I hate the nWo's "too tight" jeans.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 8, 2002 I think we're all straying into some kind of fashion critic/fashion awards show her, but I have to throw out Christian's shirt. I mean enough of the mesh already. Did he buy a bulkload of them from some old porno actors or something?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 8, 2002 Hall was pretty much wearing his WCW gear except for the new "Kliq" tights. His vest looked smaller.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 9, 2002 I think what made Hall look stupid was his spaced out face stupid hair and bandana round his forehead.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted March 9, 2002 I noticed that to. Hall looked stupid in what he was wearing in the match. I do believe(especially with the cruisers, dont ask me why) that a good costume is sometimes essential to the character and to give the person an identity. Look at Jericho. He wears some stupid clothes sometimes but he makes it work with (what should fully be) his larger than life super mega rock star intergalactic living legend character. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 9, 2002 I think that Jericho's boots (the padding is cruiserweight style, plus it never factors in as he never really kicks anybody) and that he has no constant dsign in his tights hurts his look. Every WWF champ I can think of has a constant design, Rock, Austin, Hogan, Flair, HHH, HBK, etc... He looks like he threw his costume together. He needs to cut his hair too. I like Y2J as a performer but I think his look is not really condusive to the heavy weights. And no I don't want him to wear short tights like HHH did during his Jesus push. Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted March 9, 2002 Perhaps, but shouldnt living legends be allowed to wear things like that? Sometimes rock stars dont have great fashion sense.
