Bush vows to end crises in N.Korea and Iraq

Well as far as "nuclear" programs go, I don't think any country is going to stop pursuing Nukes EVER, no matter what they say, but you can't simply go to war over that since the USA has made no bones about using Nuclear weapons on other countries "if necessary"

It is probobaly just a bunch of hot air, however Bush would be smart to end the Iraq situation with a peaceful resolution considering support from the american people on issues of war has been waning for the past 6 months.

Yes. 58 years ago. Sheesh. Two bombs dropped in a wartime setting as opposed to some 5,000 that we amassed over the years does not a pattern of behavior make.

America will pursue a diplomatic solution in North Korea, since we can't fight two countries at once, especially if one of them has the third largest standing army in the world and we're already being frowned upon for our actions in Iraq, whenever they go down. Also, we had a hard enough time convincing the UN that Iraq was a danger, and they've got an actual record of wrongdoings. North Korea hasn't done things nearly as potent as Iraq since the actual Korean War itself, and has some international sympathy right now since its economy is on virtual life support.

On Iraq, I am of the belief now that it'd be a massive waste NOT to invade them. We've already invested a lot of manpower and weapons in the area, even going to far as to have grandiose maneuvers in the Kuwaiti desert. Still, I'm holding out for the plan that the Arab leaders put forth at their summit: Exile Sadaam, problem solved.

It sounds like fluff. Whenever N. Korea needs some food, they sabor rattle and bingo they get some. They need food, they rattled, someone somewhere will hook them up and this 'crisis' will be over.

Then again, if they really do want war, we probably will whip their monkey butts back to the 1950's. Because we can fight two wars at the same time and win. In the words of HHH, 'we are that dang good'!!!

USA!!!...USA!!!...USA!!!... :firing:

To their credit, they never said they wanted a piece of us in particular, they just decided to shun the UN surveillance equipent and start working on Nuclear arms again.

As for the rest of that, I love us too, but give the enemy a chance, as small or large as it may be. If they weren't a possible trouble-causer, we wouldn't worry about their regional affairs. Same reason you read about all sorts of unrest in Africa on a daily basis but don't hear much about America getting involved. None of them pose any overwhelming threats.
