Guest Blackston Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Unfortunately for Clarett, he still won't be officially eligible for the NFL draft until after his Junior season (barring a redshirt next season... yeah right). The rule is that a potential draftee has to be three years removed from his graduating class in high school. This is why red-shirt sophomores are eligible to go pro, but legitimate sophomore's are not, as of yet. I don't know what MC is going to do. As a Buckeye fan, I would be elated if he would stick around for two more years, but as a realist, I have to think that he is going to try to challenge the NFL after his sophomore season. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 2, 2003 I totally understand where the team was coming from, but still i thought it was kinda shitty to not even give him a day to go home, attend the funeral and then come back to Arizona. Just send a few team officials with him to make sure nothing happens and everything's good. The whole controversy about him declaring after his freshmen year was overblown. A magazine overreacting and making a big deal out of misinterpreted comments...yeah that never happens. He's just upset over his friends death and likely made comments while still blinded by emotions or some shit. He was likely fine after he calmed down and got his emotions back in his control. Bleh, the Jags have Taylor and Mack, so they don't need Clarett.
