Fiesta Bowl!

I'm taking off early tomorrow morning to go out to Tempe, so I just wanted to type up something quick about the national championship matchup that is looming. Honestly, I am a die-hard Buckeye fan, and I've gotten accustomed to getting disappointed by my team, right as I am starting to gain faith in them. This was a trait that would always pop up when coach John Cooper was manning the helm. 1996 (against Michigan) and 1998 (against Michigan State) in particular were two of the most painful experiences for me as a college football fan. This year, things seem to be different. There is a completely different feel coming out of the Buckeye camp this year. Quite honestly, I feel that Ohio State is going to cover the rather large spread that is put up against them. Furthermore, I think that Ohio State has the type of team that is able to knock the Hurricanes off. I've just got a special feeling that something truly big is brewing in the desert, and I've got a ticket to see it firsthand.

Go Buckeyes!!!

The streak is dying in the desert!!!

Go Canes!

It should be a good game, but I can't see OSU putting up enough points to win. I think it will be a good game, and probably won't be a blow-out. OSU has a very good defense and very good ground game, but they're going to need to put points on the board to win, and they haven't been a high-scoring team all year.

Miami wins by 10. What it comes down to his if Miami comes to play. No offense to Ohio St fans but Miami is the more talented team.

Personally, I'd like to see a Big 10 school win, but this isn't the Miami of old. The coaches is very humble, and the players actually go to class and aren't first class jerks. They also have 34 game winning streak and it would be nice if they could keep it going.

I think both Dorsey & McGahee are going to come in pissed because of their low finishes in the Heisman voting, too.

As OSU has already stated Ken Dorsey has had 3 weeks to prepare for this game. His ability for checking at the line is incredible, but now he's given 3 weeks... what can we expect?

The Hurricanes runnin' wild.

This is shocking. I can't believe OSU's D-line is just annilihating Miami's O-line.

Folks, this is what happens when there's any pressure on Ken Dorsey. He folds.

This game is giving me a heart attack. I couldn't believe that pass interference call.

OSU just has to win this game. Destiny is with them, and this game is so much like last year's Super Bowl.

I guess I understand why they made the PI call, but it doesn't look good considering how late the call was made.

OSU 31-24 now.

Let's hope this doesn't go to a 3rd OT, where it will probably come down to 2-pt conversions.

The Ohio St. Buckeyes are your National Champions. Blackston must be going nuts.

I say it was fair, since you have to keep your hands off the receiver after five yards, and that was in the endzone. The call was not for the contact when the ball got there, but for the contact before, which most of the camera angles didn't catch. Of course, the commentators were convinced that the refs should be strung up.

To be fair, they called OSU on one later also, and Miami couldn't take advantage of it, so their loss.
