Fiesta Bowl!

Looking at the play again, it definitely was interference. I think the officials did the right thing, because I absolutely hate when the officials swallow their whistle in clutch time.

Ohio State played the way they did all year, and they got the win. Great win for OSU, and especially to their fans, because I remember how they got close so much under Cooper and couldn't pull it off.

Why the hell did Miami throw on the last play?

When you have a QB with a hurt arm, you should try to do something that doesn't require him throwing the ball.

Not to mention their OL blew it and OSU rushed him

the interference call was pure bullshit. Is there any valid reasons to not install instant replay in Div I-A?

As a dedicated Miami hater, I must say that PI call was indeed horseshit. As much as I wanted Miami to lose, I really don't like tainted shit like that at all.

McGahee screaming while he was laying down on the field was pretty scary to me when they were showing that video package at the end of the night and seeing his face when they carted him out, I almost had tears in my eyes.

I really hate when shit like that happens, even to teams I hate.

It was defensive holding, not PI. The victory remains and The Dawgs will get it next year!

It looked like the hit on McGahee actually folded his knee back, like one of those aliens in the Charlie Sheen classic, The Arrival. Gross.

And while people will bitch a lot about the PI call, there was CLEARLY a hold even if they weren't going to call the interference. I think the PI call was off and it should have just been a hold, but the result would have been the same: 1st down in striking distance. Bad call, right result.

All in all, a great game; though the Sugar, Orange, and Rose were all very one-sided, the Fiesta lived up to its billing as the two best teams going at it. There weren't many big exciting plays, but that was some great, hard-hitting football. Krenzell is a foot soldier out there. He took more hits than his backs.

And can I say how much I love the way the NCAA does overtime? Excitement to the max.

Not ONLY was the flag late, BUT the SAME ref called the play an incomplete pass.

*sighs, walks off*

PI was BS even Fouts pointed out the Ref signaling Incomplete. But the Mcgahee hit on his knee was sick that look like a career killer right there.

Shit, that McGahee hit was sick. I hope it's not too serious. He's a level-headed kid that would be a stud in the pros.

I think even if the official calls a penalty, he still has to signal that the pass was incomplete. The call was late, but correct.

1. By looking at the hit, his career might be over.

2. .......... MWHAHAHAHA!

It's way too early to tell if his career is over. Knee injuries can be widely varied.

The call was correct, Gamble was being held in the end zone. If not PI, it should have been holding, which would have the same result regardless.

CBs/LBs can do that to WRs for 5 yards. I believe a little hold is allowed... I never see flags thrown when there is bump-n-run coverage.

It depends on if the ball has been thrown or not.

I've seen it called if the ball was thrown anyway, but it also would be in effect if it was before the pass was thrown.

You take away the inference call and that drive would have never happened.

Different ref throwing the flag than the one that signaled the incompletion. In the replays you see the line judge waving incomplete while a flag is seen flying in from another location.

It looked like Gamble was getting his face mask yanked on the PI play so something should've been called.

Also, Tressel is an idiot for not going for the field goal early in the game.

The PI defensive holding whatever it was call was questionable, but the play wasn't totally clean by any means.

It could've easily been a no call, but it being called wasn't some terrible total screw job like some of you are making it out as.

Is it a Classic? We'll see how it stands the test of time? Upset? Oh yeah.

A great game that HAD me a avid OSU hater somewhat rooting for them at the end.

As for the call? It's gonna be a debated issue for months. I say bad call but What I know?

Of course it's a classic. There's no question about that.

It may not be a classic in terms of stats or amazing performances by both teams, but a classic none the less.

I'll say it was a Classic. I only saw it from the beginning of the 4th quarter on. What I saw was one of the more compelling college football games Ive seen in a long while.

Oh it was a horrible call. It reeked of the ref just thinking "I can't let the game end that way, OSU needs EVERY chance they can get."

I made the bizarre comparison last night with this game to the NCAA basketball title game with Arizona and Kentucky in 1997. UK had Derek Anderson injured (actually he wasn't but Pitino didn't chance it), they played a terrible game, missed foul shots, but yet they STILL hit a late 3 to take it to OT (eerily similar to Miami hitting the late field goal). AZ won it OT.

Ohio St. just had that fluke miracle jobber thing going for them. I don't know how many times I saw Krenzel get a big first down run on someone this year, even though the guy is hardly a great scrambler. Yet no one could stop it.

Krenzel was astounding last night. He was only something like 7 for 21, but he was fighting like he was buried down in the trenches. Those QB draws were what kept OSU in the game offensively, and he got levelled after every one of them.
