I think if the WWE gets more wrestlers like trish, Victoria, Jackie, Molly, and Lita, and keep women like Torrie and Stacy as valets, the women's divison could possibly get taken a little more seriously. She was a great influence on bringing Trish's workrate up to snuff (along with Molly, of course), and if she's pushed like she was the first time, things might look up. Unfortunately, the only credible face they have is Trish, and all the other good workers (Victoria, Molly, Ivory) are heels, so something's got to give, because I don't want to see Jackie or Stacy wrestling at all. If this Gail Kim turns out to be half the wrestler people are proclaiming her to be, it can only get better. Of course, this is Vince and Co. we're talking about, so the Women's division will always be a few thousand lingerie matches away from greatness. Maybe if Lawler was gagged during the matches... Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Any time the division looks to be going strong with good matches and storylines, the WWE will screw it up with a bunch of "naked pudding HLA pillow fight" matches, and give in-ring pushes to crap like Stacy, Skeletor and Mega-Tits Jackie, so all the good of the division will be forgotten in place of T&A crap, ensuring it won't be taken seriously. They wan't T&A, bra and pantie matches, and mud matches. I HATE women's wrestling. I believe it is a waste of time. I won't ever get over. When was the last time you saw a ***+ women's wrestling match??? I haven't seen one. I've never seen any Japan women's wrestling, so I can't comment on that. I keep on hearing how when they get Jazz back, the division will get much better. Oh, so one wrestler will help all of them get better. When Jazz was there it sucked. When she got injured, Victoria was there, and it still sucks. So we'll totally see when Jazz and Victoria wrestle. However, I predict it will still suck. I've said it once, I'll say it again, women's wrestling sucks. No, it isn't because I am sexist or anything like that. So don't even start there. I just don't like it. Annie's a Megumi Kudo fan--sure, maybe partly for "other" reasons, and a lot of them are far, far better than some of the decent WWE guys. Few approach anything like the SD6, but that's a tall order anyway. And please try to say "the women's wrestling I've seen sucks in my opinion" rather than saying simply "women's wrestling sucks." Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 2, 2003 Do you hear the crowd during serious womens matches, all the fans want T&A. why try and force the fans to watch something they don't want to see, don't tell me they have been conditioned too unless you are going to tell me that my friends and I have been conditioned to going to strip clubs. The men want T&A so give it to them As for jazz, she absolutly sucks. Anyone who saw her wrestle in ECW knows she is not any great worker or even a decent worker. Her moveset contains around 10 moves, she can't work a crowd, she employs no psychology. I don't want to see chicks in santa outfits wearing granny panties, if you are going to do T&A then do it right, just have them wrestle in thongs in cooking oil or something like that. They got her over as the anti-Diva who could wrestle, and that in turn sparked Trish to get her act together. You also have to remember that Jazz primarily wrestled men in ECW, so they were not only short matches, but she was also booked as the underdog who fought the misogynistic male majority and for the most part held her own. Guest Redhawk Report post Posted January 2, 2003 It will never be legit, if by "legit" you mean people actually watching women's matches for the same reasons they watch men's matches (finishers, spots, moves, psychology, who's going over who, etc.). There are two types of women in WWE: The ones who are there to wrestle (Victoria, Jazz, Molly) and the ones who are there to look good (Stacy, Torrie, Dawn Marie). Since the girls who are just there for T&A also are involved in storylines, their feuds get resolved with matches, just like the other kind of girls. And that means Stacy and Torrie will be wrestling, but they'll be wrestling puddin' matches. Therefore it will never be legit. What you need is the Heyman of women's wrestling--a person who knows how to use everyone to hide their weaknesses and bring out their strengths. I also think this will never happen in WWE. They have to be bribed, threatened, court ordered, and begged to do anything with someone who isn't a lumbering roid monster.
