The poll was put on four different message boards to try to get a varied opinion on games, since one board might have biases, and the other might not. But, in the end, the biases didn't matter, since this year was all about Metroid. Much like last year, when GTA3 destroyed all comers, Prime made sure no other game had a chance. The scoring went: 3 points for a first place vote, 2 points for second, and 1 point for third. Metroid Prime ended up 20 points higher than second place GTA: Vice City, which then itself had a 12 point gap over third place Morrowind. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted January 2, 2003 WHOOHOO! That makes me happy, because all the other sites have GTA:VC Overall Game of the Year with Metroid coming in 2nd..
