Now, im interested in like Metal and Rock () I like the sound of most of the people on the WWF Forceable Entry cd. People like Disturbed, Saliva, and Fozzy (80's rock) you know. So what 5 would you recommend for me? (and i'd like a bit of diversity)

Slayer-Divine Intervention Fear Factory-Demanufacture Van Halen-1984 Megadeth-Peace Sells...But who's Buying? Machine Head-Burn My Eyes That's a pretty decent mix of newer metal and 80's stuff. Slayer had to be recommended on principle.

Oh, and buy Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio". Best CD ever.

Best CD ever. y'know, I love maiden, though I don't really collect their stuff, and I prefer the original double CD of 'best of the beast' cos there was more on it and it included live tracks as well. Rock in Rio is a thing of beauty though.

At least Rock in Rio is readily handy, and has the added bonus of Bruce Dickinson singing "Sign of the Cross" and "The Clansman". I mean, like I've said before, Blaze ain't bad, but he AIN'T Bruce. I have no real problems with old-school Judas Priest. I do perfer the current version though, because the music just seems more...full, if I can use that term in this context. It's probably because of the mixing or whatever, but still. The old stuff ain't bad, I'm just not as big a fan of it as I am the newer stuff.

If you want that stuff, Target usually prices the CDs of slightly-below-radar groups like Breaking Benjamin (that's a very bad name) and whoever at under 10 dollars. Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Facelift over Dirt? Whoa. Not that it's a bad choice or anything, Facelift's an amazing album. Machine Head's older stuff is pretty decent, but they're really easy to grow out of, I think. I was all over Burn my Eyes and The More Things Change... for a while, but got burned out on them pretty quickly. I can still listen to Burn My Eyes, but everything else gets pretty tired. Their past couple albums have sucked supreme balls, though. and by the way, how in the fuck did I forget to recommend some Sepultura? Chaos AD and anything prior are all fucking amazing. Roots has some good material, too, but it's not as good as say, Beneath the Remains, or Schizophrenia.

They're great albums. The only reason they get any flack is because people were expecting something else from Metallica. Very underrated albums in my eyes.
