Remember the Titans...

Remember the Titans is a good movie, but it is a Disney movie, so they needed to change a few things to give it that 'Disney' feeling.

My friend Kobi's girlfriend, Sarah, went to the high school, T.C. Williams, that the Titans are from.

Well anyway, a few things about the movie that she told me aren't true. First off, when Gerry Burtier got in that car accident, he wasn't sober, he was drunk as fuck. And when he died in another car accident later in his life, he was drunk as fuck too. Second off, the championship game wasn't close like that, the Titans dominated the whole game. And third, Coach Herman Boone wasn't a hard ass like that, I heard he was actually kind of a pussy.

The funniest thing is that this movie came out the same day that the Titans had their homecoming game, and they lost that game by a WHOLE bunch. I guess the team sucks now.

Just something I thought people should know. Disney hold's down the truth!!

Yeah, ESPN did that Junction Boys movie based on the book.

They did a rountable discussion with some of the guys who the book and movie were based on...they pretty much went on about how most of that never happened and that Paul Bryant wasn't that much of a dick.

Although the author of the book said stuff like "His memory must be fuzzy"...when replying to one of the guys who said that stuff never happened...

How can the author say that? HE WASN'T THERE!

Just about everything you said can be found on the DVD, sans the drunk jock I believe.

I still like the movie anyway...
