Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 4, 2003 How about a show without bands? It could be "WrestleMania 19: Shut Up & Wrestle."
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted January 4, 2003 "Instead of Wasting Five Minutes, We're Gonna Let This Good Match Go Longer Than It Would If a Suck-Ass Band was Playing" by No Band... OK, Jobber of the Week stole my idea.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted January 4, 2003 I'd be laughing my ass off, if Tatu was brought in to do Victoria's theme at Wrestlemania 19, and somehow emulate their usual concert antics. You know what I mean.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Oh, please God no....unless all the women go to SmackDown, the King will be on commentary.... Teenage Lesbian Action....what kind of man can make me fear that? Damn you, King...
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Eminem - Lose Yourself seriously. Too bad that most people will probably be sick of the song by then, but still.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Just because they use a song by a band doesn't mean they are automatically preforming. IE, Mania 17.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted January 4, 2003 I'd go with a mainstream hit, a little bit on the old side, but still used to relate the lyrics to the PPV's theme. Puddle of Mudd - "Drift and Die"
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Hatebreed- "Burial For The Living." Especially for the RAW side.
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Or they could just use the old "Oooh, Oooh, Wrestlemania" song
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted January 4, 2003 Well, if I was choosing music... Shadows Fall - "The Art Of Balance" It has a great "epic" feel to it (and it's only 4 1/2 minutes long), there's no swearing or growling, it could give Shadows Fall a HUGE break, and the lyrics fit WWE pretty good. Observe: "Art Of Balance" by Shadows Fall I am sheltered by this apathy Nothing left to do but torch the day Retreating deeper into my mind What is it that I hope to find? This is the aftermath in me Tendencies to keep it all inside! A fool's disguise! I am strangled by this sympathy Empty words with no meaning Must release myself into the void All illusions must be destroyed This is the aftermath in me Tendencies to keep it all... How dare you compromise the balance in our lives Excuses you devise, and internal suicide I struggle to survive, a perfect goal for which to strive Ignorance cannot disguise the balance of our lives... Guest JMTapes Report post Posted January 5, 2003 No fucking band...use some Jimmy Johnston music. What's wrong with that? Although Limp Bizkit did work well for X7, I thought.
Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2003 It's a little slow paced but would go very awesome if it was remixed slightely and the main event was Lesnar/Angle, with Lesnar heel and Angle the fallen Hero and Lesnar's threat to take him out..for good. KISS - World Without Heroes A world without heroes Is like a world without sun You can't look up to anyone Without heroes And a world without heroes Is like a never ending race Is like a time without a place A pointless thing devoid of grace Where you don't know what you're after Or if something's after you And you don't know why you don't know In a world without heroes In a world without dreams Things are no more than they seem And a world without heroes Is like a bird without wings Or a bell that never rings Just a sad and useless thing Where you don't know what you're after Or if something's after you And you don't know why you don't know In a world without heroes There's nothing to be It's no place for me...(intro X-9 music)
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2003 I thought My Way just had that 'feel' for a PPV, Same as Marilyn Manson could do and probably Puddle Of Mudd or maybe Bizkit again, i still think Boiler would make a great intro... PS Whoever did that I Support Team Angle poster, i'm gonna stick that in my sig if it's okay
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted January 5, 2003 "Lose Yourself" does kick some ass, but I don't think that WWE would use it, for two reasons. 1) It's Rap. WWE just loves Nu Metal. 2) Whose to say if they could even get the rights to the song? They don't exactly have the pockets to afford it, unless they're planning to make WM the ultimate turning point. Also, you could throw in "Flesh Into Gear" by CKY. I kinda dig that one. Guest RedJed Report post Posted January 5, 2003 I'd rather have just the typical WWF/WCW public-domain type music without lyrics, Jim Johnston produced is ok too. The shit with them wasting money for mainstream music for the ppvs is getting old. If I had to pick one off the top of my head, I always thought that Rey Jr's first WCW entrance theme would always make a good song for a ppv sometime. Observe: Fucking amazing...I was thinking about Shadows Fall as well. I was thinking of "Stepping Outside the circle. THE LYRICS WITH WWE VIDEO LEADING UP TO WM X9: Here i go again A vicious Cycle without end Seeking distance for security (Kurt Angle backing off from Brock) A desperate act to remain free (Triple H cheating to remain as champ) A balance point cannot be found This whole thing will come crashing down (RVD's ***** frog splash) Down! Down! My fear will drag you down Into this world that i create (Vince arguing with Hulk Hogan...could be substituted for any "wrestler vs. authority" feud at that point) Your love for me has sealed your fate (Torrie vs. Dawn Marie...sadly this will be part of WM the way things are looking) Down! Down! My fear will drag you down (something TLC-ish for the sick hardcore mother fuckers) Can I trust in what i feel? Praying that this time it's real Feel the strain! All this times been spent in vain MY SHAME! open wounds that still remain DECAY! As my faith is stripped away YOU'LL STRAY! The final price i have to pay (bloodied WWE'rs) Digger in deeper still (evil dead man Undertaker) The hollowness I yearn to fill The story always ends the same (clips of all the people who won a world title at Wrestlemania) The cycle soon begins again Stepping outside the circle see...hidden WWE messages! It's a conspiracy I also liked Paul Stanley's suggestion of "world without heroes" ... but the version from KISS' "Music for the Elder" is really lame. If they could record a more rockish versin, i'd be all for that.

Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 5, 2003 How about that rewritten Bohemian Rhapsody that was floating around here a few months ago? Although I hate rap I do think "Lose Yourself" could work well depending on the build up. Say Heyman tells Brock this is his one shot at the belt or some deal like that then the song would fit real well.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 5, 2003 When You Wish Upon a Star-Jiminey Cricket I've alsways wanted the WWF to take an old time inspirational/happy times type song and adapt it to the current environment. (And no, this does not mean that I want some Nu Metal shit doing it or some rapper going "Yo Yo Yo, don't matter who da fuck you be!")
