Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 5, 2003 I think Favre might hang it up.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Bullshit. All this retirement talk is pissing me off. All he needs is stability. He has it with a coach, now he needs it with his receiving corps. He's got two years left at least.
Guest tpww7 Report post Posted January 5, 2003 That game would be a bad final game for him.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Yessir. He looked like shit. But Kotz is right...with some better receivers and a few less injuries, that's a different game.
Guest Angle Armbar Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Favre definitely shouldn't retire, that's stupid talk. He still has tons of game, and he's still in fairly good health.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Even if he's doesn't retire, he doesn't have that many years left in him.
Guest Angle Armbar Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Favre is in his low-30's I believe, he could still play 5+ years.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Well, That was a shitty day of Football. Atlanta deserves to win with the emotionless Packers performence.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Favre is 33 or 34, I believe.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Favre is 32.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Well his playing ability would have no bearings on Favre deciding to retire. The guy has nothing left to play for and has a reservation to the Hall Of Fame. If Favre is mentally ready to retire he will and we all know it.
Guest LatinoHeat Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Or are they gonna start Feely and sub in McNabb on big plays? No way Feely is starting. Does he even have any playoff experience? Detmer or McNabb will get the nod. GOOOOOOOO EAGLES!
Guest DrTom Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Born: October 10, 1969, Gulfport, MS From ESPN. Favre is 33, and will turn 34 during next season. No, he's not going to retire. He won't go out getting smacked around in a playoff game at Lambeau.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Damn EPSN. I got that from Madden 2003.. apparently, they don't update their dates when the players have birthdays. Bastards!
Guest DrTom Report post Posted January 5, 2003 As for the games... I expected the Jets to win, but god-DAMN, did they jump on the Colts with both feet and stomp the shit out of them. THAT, I didn't expect. The Jets had it rolling on all cylinders, though. Lamont Jordan (PH34R THE TURTLE~!) showed he's a very capable back, Pennington was cool and collected as ever, and the defense stuffed the Colts at every turn. Peyton Manning needs to be careful, or he's going to get a rep as a chap who can't win the big games. The Packers looked defeated almost right away. Their tackling was spotty, their offensive execution was far from crisp, and they were so concerned about Vick beating them that they let everyone else on the offense punch them in the kidneys. Against a QB like Vick, you play your game and make him beat you if he can. Maybe put an LB spy on him, but their pass rush was PATHETIC because they were too worried about Vick getting past them. Both teams should face some tougher defenses next week.
Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted January 5, 2003 FUCK! *sigh*
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Balderdash! Favre is from Kiln, MS. Of course, it's a REALLY small town and close to Gulfport, so they probably just lumped it in there.
Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted January 5, 2003 great games today, I lost like $300 on the jets game taking the over at 42 but I mae it back on the falcons game taking the under at 41 1/2. --Rob
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Bah, why is everyone picking the Giants? They're hot, but I don't think they're that great. I'm saying the Niners pull it off. And the Steelers beat the Browns.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Here's a question: Can either the Niners or Giants beat Tampa? Because if not, it's Tampa/Philly, in Philly.
Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted January 5, 2003 collins is the king of blowing the big game. Anyhow I am going to parlet the pitt/borwns game. gotta take pitt and over on 39. Hopefully the line stays that way. Let's see what happens. --Rob

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted January 5, 2003 Northcutt/Holcomb with a good TD. 14-0, Browns. If the Browns win, I will do really badly in the Pick 'Em, but since I don't like the Steelers it doesn't matter.
