Guest tpww7 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 The game is getting out of control now.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I'm baffled that the Giants actually went after T-O (I mean, I understand it). They could've got some serious yardage after each foul.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Giants could pull this out...
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 15 yard Facemask, and an interception, and a refferee challenge, and what a giant field goal should have won..., botched, yet San Fran was still win

Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Thank God the 9ers took down the Giants. Now I won't have to hear the verbal blow jobs for Shockey another week.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Two great games today... can't ask for anything more. Hopefully, it all continues next week
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Glad to see that San Fran won that game. Good games today, making up for yesterday. It was great seeing Strahan all pissed off walking off of the field.
Guest tpww7 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 The Giants self- destructed at the end and it cost them.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Hopefully the win allows Moochie to keep his job next year.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Best part of the wanning moments was Collinsworth and Aikman throwing the insults down at T.O. and the Giands secondary for the tom-foolery. Had me laughing.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Why were today's games great? They had great finishes, but it was on-sided for the Browns and Giants for 3 quarters until the Steelers-49ers dominated and won.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Man.. what a chokejob by the Giants
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted January 6, 2003 All right. Now we finally know who's going to lose to Tampa next week. What a total, inexcusable collapse by New York. If you lead a game by 24 points at any point in the game, there's no way you should lose. No way. They just stopped playing. I'd reckon that the longsnapper is out of job, too. Good god. Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 has TB figured out a QB position yet? Who cares about the Johnsons, but King in, and it'll be all good.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Brad Johnson, if healthy, could be just fine for them. Better than that monkey Rob anyways.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Brad Johnson is, by all reports, healthy and ready to go on Sunday.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted January 6, 2003 The only things that long snapper did for the Giants all year were 5 snaps for extra points and three snaps for field goals. 2 of those field goal snaps were terrible, costing the Giants the game. One of those field goals wins it.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted January 6, 2003 The thing is, the Giants were kicking on third down. The holder could have simply spiked the ball, stopping the clock for the incomplete pass and brining up 4th down. I was SCREAMING at him to do precisely that, but instead, he decided to take leave of his senses and heave one down the field. When the camera kept focusing on the ball before it was snapped, it seemed ominous to me. Hella good comeback by the 49ers, and simply an inexcusable loss by the Giants. Teams HAVE to stay aggressive and keep playing their games, especially on defense, even when they get supposedly insurmountable leads. The Browns lost the first game as much as the Steelers won it. From their stupid, STUPID penalties on Pittsburgh's late drive, to Davis' inane challenge costing them a precious TO, to Holcombe's poor pass on the game's last play, the Browns lost. The Steelers did capitalize on their opportunities, though, and are looking good heading into a tough matchup with the Titans. My knock on Tommy Maddox has been that he doesn't protect the ball well, and that was obvious again today: two picks, and at least two more potential picks (one of which would have iced the game for the Browns). What a day. I picked both games wrong, but they were so good, that I really don't care.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 stupid niners i almost went 4 for 4 in my office pool, being the only one who picked the falcons i must say i was very happy otherwise , as far as it comes to Steelers
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 6, 2003 ESPN.com just posted an article saying that it would have been illegal for the ball to be spiked due to it being a long snap instead of a snap from under center so while it might have been quick thinking to do it they would have lost anyway. By the time they snapped, recovered the bad snap, scrambled from the pocket and threw it away I would imagine the time would have ran out anyway.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 so what would happen? would it count as a fumble if he did spike the ball?
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Intentional grounding, so it would have pushed the kick back around seven or eight more yards, but I don't think it would matter since IIRC it would have come with a 10 second runoff as well for a penalty in the last minute or two minutes. Guest converge241 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 i saw that article maybe they should have just thrown it away down the sidelines just in the vicinity of a wr or even better, considering the guy alreay screwed up a snap earlier and they were driving down the field, JUST PASS IT!! screw the FG
