Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Bi-Lo fired me after a week and two days, because I didn't know as much about what they hired me for (seafood and lunch meats, the former I had a wee bit of experience with, the latter none), didn't ask me any questions about the extent of my expertise in said departments, didn't make any attempts to train me, nothing. Either way, I took my work shirt, put it on a crude wooden stick figure, and burned it in their parking lot. Sorry, had to vent. Fucking unorganized piece of shit stores...

Today, when the store manager wanted to talk to me, my department manager said "what are you going to do if you get fired?," despite knowing for a full WEEK that it was going to happen. These people were the aces of deception and backstabbery, as they'd encourage you to do something, then get mad at you later for the very same thing, but not tell you that they were mad until their frustrations from the entire day had bottled up. Hell, I was accused of lying that I'd had a job before on my application. The dude was bigger than me, but it was in the Seafood room, and there was a knife RIGHT NEXT TO ME... I need to calm down.

You'll go through this type of thing a couple more times in your lifetime and you can't let this one be the end of the world for you. You made your effigy which was damn creative and now you got to vent here about how big of shitheads the people you were working for. Just start searching for a new job and don't let this experience set a prescedent for you in thinking that all jobs will turn out like this one. Keep the faith man and things will work out.

Then again we could really use "the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field" Normally, I'd take pity on Kotz but he fucking deserves it after all the gloating he did around Week 9.
