Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Here are the choices over at www.wwe.com and some are rather odd. Which ones do you agree with, disagree with, or feel they left off? It seems that they would lead us to believe that for the first few years of RAW, nothing of note happened at all. I mean, isn't almost all of this from RAW is War, and beyond? Here we go... Stone Cold Beer Truck The Greatest Upset -The Kid beats Razor Ramon Angle Moonsault off Cage This Is Your Life, Rock Vince - Bret Screwed Bret DX Invades WCW Mae Young Gets Wood Y2J Arrives Zamboni 3:16 Mick Foley Wins The WWE Championship Monday Night Raw Debut Sable Undressed The Milkman Cometh Unholy Matrimony -Triple H Ruins Stephanie's Wedding Hogan Challenges The Rock TLC 2002 The Last Nitro DX Imitates The Nation Of Domination Rock's Stone Cold Funeral Mr. Socko Meets Bedpan McMahon It Never Happened - Y2J Beats Triple H The Black Wedding Iron Mike vs. Stone Cold Owen Hart Tribute Show Never Say Never - Vince McMahon Introduces Eric Bischoff ...I look forward to what you have to say! Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Mae Young is the absolute WORST idea to be on that list, that's for sure. As for the others...eh.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Well of course they're all from RAW is War. The fans are voting and a lot would have no idea about stuff pre-RIW
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted January 6, 2003 "It never happened" Jericho/Triple H.....ummm NO....that is perhaps the worst thing ever.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Ummmm why- it was a great match, got Jericho way over as a face and HHH way over as a heel
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Well of course they're all from RAW is War. The fans are voting and a lot would have no idea about stuff pre-RIW If anything was quite a distance back in time, they'd just show it again, duh. I think that's the main point of the Raw Retros. Maybe secondly they are to hype up Austin's return. Although I don't think TOO much happened on the first years on Raw.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Well of course they're all from RAW is War. The fans are voting and a lot would have no idea about stuff pre-RIW D'oh, very true. I didn't think about that at all.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 6, 2003 "It never happened" Jericho/Triple H.....ummm NO....that is perhaps the worst thing ever. That's a "Damned if you do..." choice. Since you have Jericho being champ for a few minutes, but then HHH getting it right back. I'd take the Y2J Debut. I never marked out like that before until then, I don't think since. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 The only pre-RIW clip that I see on there is the Big Upset by the Kid over Razor. Hmm...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Well the Monday Night RAW debut was before RAW IS WAR. And the Kid beats Razor....but those are the only 2. What about Mankind destroying the Undertaker!? Or Ric Flair's career ending(HA!) match?
Guest D'Lo White Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Why the hell is Sable undressed up there? Wasn't there one point where she was undressed like every other week on Raw?
Guest Mole Report post Posted January 6, 2003 ECW re-unites.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I kinda liked the classic ECW Invasion better than the second one. Because back then, ECW was still with their good style. PLUS the classic Heyman/Lawler commentating war. And the Sandman making a rare WWF appearance.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Anyone else remember Jericho breaking Chyna's fingers with a hammer? Ah yes, in a program with HHH's girl, and then getting shit whenever he kicked her too stiffly, but yet she wanted to be treated like one of the boys. And to think that was only the beginning... Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Anyone else remember Jericho breaking Chyna's fingers with a hammer? I can't express to you how much I loved that when it happened.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Jericho stole that from Raven.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Jericho stole that from Raven. Raven doing it to Tommy? Sort of, but Jericho was using a hammer. And yes, I loved it so much it is one of the few things I remember about long term Raws. Hmm--was this before HHH started using the sledge? That reminds me of when HHH smashed the casket Rock was in while he was in the Corporation still.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 HHH just used the sledgehammer to make himself more like He-Man...as in weapon.

Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I think the 1-2-3 Kid thing is a must on this list, because quite frankly, it IS one of the most classic moments on RAW, at least in my opinion.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 6, 2003 ECW re-unites. I agree, even if it was ruined in the same night. It wasn't on the list though, so I chose "DX Imitates The Nation Of Domination"
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted January 6, 2003 What is this obsession with the DX invades WCW stuff? I'd hardly call that a memorable Raw moment, just a bunch of guys screwing around. The Nation skit was much better. I voted for Foley's title win.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 6, 2003 It's probably more Raw Is War stuff just because that was when they had better stuff coming out. When anyone says something is missing it's usually a Raw is War moment. What would you want them to put from pre RIW? Diesel saying he'll only slap your hand if it has a black glove on it? I picked Iron Mike v. Stone Cold.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I picked Iron Mike v. Stone Cold. Ditto.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I picked Y2J's debut, because at the time I marked out hoping it would turn him into a huge superstar. Everyone has made him their bitch, but he still gets good heel heat and he was the first undisputed champion... so it WAS a good move for him.
