Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I guess I could see how it is exposing the business, but that really doesn't have anything to do with HHH's heat. On the other hand, I really find this particular story too ridiculous to be true. I believe a lot of HHH crap, but I don't think I believe this.
Guest jester Report post Posted January 6, 2003 "Hunter apparently feels that the his heel character doesn’t have as much as heat as it would because fans no longer suspend belief due to the exposing of the business on those shows." I know what he means. I mean, I TOTALLY stopped watching TV shows and going to movies when I found out they weren't real. What a fuckin' joke.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Hunter apparently feels that the his heel character doesn’t have as much as heat as it would because fans no longer suspend belief due to the exposing of the business on those shows. Where did he come up with this? Is he so desperate for some reason to explain why he isn't top-spot over that he has to try and find the most remote way possible to be the explanation for it? TE may not be the greatest for producing wrestlers (and it isn't, but whoever wins 3 I think will be the best so far) but a lot of the viewers for TE (that I know at least) don't even watch regular WWF. I'd be surprised if they got rid of it.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 6, 2003 But there are only six. ::Watches Mark Henry run in and join the SD!6:: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Heheh---we've seen Kidman hang pretty well, so either him or Jericho going BACK to SD for an HHH squashin'. Plus Mark isn't vanilla or a midget.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted January 6, 2003 This probobaly isn't true. I mean who exactly was Triple H talking too? It wouldn't make ANY sense that it is just Triple H and his heat that are affected by this, yet over on Smackdown people are over just fine...NONSENSE. Guest Angle Armbar Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Silly, Triple H told this "reporter" who was twiddling his toes backstage. It's funny how this turns into a HHHate topic when he's only bashing something that we all know is right. HHH could bring world peace, and you'd all say it's a ploy by him and Stephanie to get him over.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 6, 2003 "Hunter apparently feels that the his heel character doesn’t have as much as heat as it would because fans no longer suspend belief due to the exposing of the business on those shows." If he stops at the fact that TE is bad and exposing the business too much then that is fine, many people have that opinion and it is valid even though kayfabe is dead. But to insinuate that audiences can't suspend their disbelief due to it is a farce. People boo Kurt Angle, people boo Chris Jericho, people boo Rico so we are supposed to believe that the audience suspends their disbelief for some people yet not for others. If you want a reason for why HHH doesn't get booed that has to do with the fans suspending their disbelief how about the fact that anyone who faces him hates him yet tries to throw in a line of respecting HHH or saying he was the toughest person they ever faced. Faces putting over the heel is going to make it harder for the audience to believe he is reviled by other wrestlers than a show like TE will.
Guest Gimmick Poster.com Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Why are we bitching about HHH's alleged bitching about TE. People have been bitching about that show for ages. Add to fact that I think this rumor is complete BS. HHH is pretty over from where I sit and when he wasn't very over, it was due to his own laziness and lame ass charcater. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2003 HHH is pretty over from where I sit and when he wasn't very over, it was due to his own laziness and lame ass charcater. And yet he has never acknowledged that he was the problem. It was always something (not enough air time) or someone (Mr. Jericho or Mr. Van Dam usually) else was at fault. This is just another attempt to justify his place while passing the buck for his own shortcomings at the same time.

I always thought "dull" Depends, but the guy who has been Sexual Chocolate, the World's Strongest Man, a pissed off gang member, and so forth has had his share of gimmicks so he wouldn't qualify for either definition. HHH could bring world peace, and you'd all say it's a ploy by him and Stephanie to get him over. HHH's peace plan would be for all nations to surrender and elect him their Undisputed Supreme Dictator. And I think TE was a terrible idea. It had brought only one guy who has any actual potential, Nowinski, who wrestled in indies anyway afterwards before showing up on Raw. However, that's not the part that's in dispute. It's how somehow this ties into affecting HHH's little world. Maybe he thinks Nowinski, a fellow Kowalski-trained wrestler, is a threat to his spot. Plus that kick-ass perm is much better looking than his balding head.

Guest HHHater Report post Posted January 6, 2003 I think it's beautiful how virtually the entire Internet/smart mark community hates HHH. It's gotta be the first thing that EVERYBODY can agree on...aside from liking Chris Benoit. Angle Armbar, I am not against the boys speaking up when its appropriate, but this is just another bullshit excuse/power play in a long line of bullshit excuses/power plays from HGH. Plus, I don't even consider HGH to be an employee. He's more like the surrogate owner.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 6, 2003 It's funny how this turns into a HHHate topic when he's only bashing something that we all know is right. That's not the point. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Don't you ever talk about how things are wrong at your workplace? HHH is allowed to have opinions. An Opinion can't be proven wrong. I can come out and say "I think Japan defeated America in The second world war." I would be wrong. Hunter can say "I think I'm unover because of Tough Enough." Jericho and Angle prove him wrong. Guest HHHater Report post Posted January 6, 2003 You know what would be awesome? If somehow, the fans united and staged a MASSIVE walk-out on a HHH match at a major pay-per-view or a RAW. That would just rule. Or EVERYBODY in the crowd brought an anti-HHH sign and it was just a sea of anti-HHH signs. How hard can it be to organize 4,000 people? Or whatever WWE is drawing these days... WWE confiscates signs. And walk outs happen on house shows all the time. I don't know if the fans are that fed up yet, though, to do it on a Raw.

He's talking about TE kids that came into his workplace. Ugh, I give up. The complaints were about the show Tough Enough, not the grads. How would having them around hurt his heat? And I think any heel heat of his would be more hurt by him going on talk shows and acting like a goofy wise ass than a show that not a lot of fans watch anyway.
