Guest DrTom Report post Posted January 8, 2003 What Green Bay needs is a good Reciever. They have one; his name is Donald Driver. They just need another one to complement him.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Actually, even though the incoming QB class is huge, I really think that they should pick out a top-tier WR like Bryant Johnson (that seems like a realistic pick, given their slot in the draft) or even Charlie Rogers if he's available. The reasoning? Favre's going to have the physical ability and the willpower for at least another two or three years, but if he doesn't have anybody to throw to, Favre's ability to control the game is going to diminish - he doesn't make plays with his feet and, when receivers don't get open (such as this year's playoffs), Favre has a tendency to force the ball. He can't do it all himself. Pick a receiver, let him mature for a year (almost every top-tier wideout has had a "growing pain" rookie year before blossoming) and then draft the quarterback next year (or, given the depth of QB's this year, in the second round) to learn with the receiver and Favre. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Green Bay needs a healthy O-Line, healthy defense, and healthy running back. They should get all of that next season, and be an actual contender.
