Guest GameCop Report post Posted January 6, 2003 Assuming there are five mystery entrants, I would like to see: -Austin -Hogan -Rock - Sting - Goldberg However, we'll most likely be subjected to seeing: - Doink - The Barbarian - Bastian Booger - Marty Jannetty (I wouldn't mind seeing him actually. Can you imagine a Marty/HBK showdown?) - Iron Sheik
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Probably some of the guys that show up for the Raw anniversary show will be invited to be in it.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 - Marty Jannetty (I wouldn't mind seeing him actually. Can you imagine a Marty/HBK showdown?) Again? They did that every time Jannetty was in a Rumble while Michaels was still in the ring. And they did it before with Tito Santana and Rick Martel as well. Guest GameCop Report post Posted January 7, 2003 If it happened before 1997, it never happened. Fans' attention spans (myself included) don't care about what took place before the ATTITUDE ERA.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 If it happened before 1997, it never happened. Fans' attention spans (myself included) don't care about what took place before the ATTITUDE ERA. Then why have they been doing so many retro pushes...Michaels and Hogan's major pushes happened BEFORE the Attitude Era. And I have yet to hear them mention what Michaels was doing during the Attitude Era in the WWF.
Guest GameCop Report post Posted January 7, 2003 And that's exactly why the title reigns of both Hogan and Michaels have been major failures.
Guest Ram Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I want to see Scotty Riggs! More likely I'd get Marcus instead. American Males, American Males..
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I don't know why we're getting 5 surprises... I'll say Jim Duggan Tugboat Austin
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Jim Duggan in the Rumble would be cool...seeing as he DID win the first one.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Flair. RR made his WWF stay legendary, and the match (giant dance with lots of guys and plenty of time to hang on the ropes and rest) fits him.

Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I think this one won't have mystery entrants if only because it needs to be 15 RAW and 15 SD guys.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I think this one won't have mystery entrants if only because it needs to be 15 RAW and 15 SD guys. I agree, I feel the only true "suprise" type thing will be The Undertaker. Either the fake one coming in as the old version and then the real Taker just coming in to destroy him, or he's just going to be the old version, one of the two. Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted January 7, 2003 You are really standing by that "Two Undertaker" storyline aren't you? I see Rock and Austin being the surprise entrants and Undertaker just doing a run in or a segment.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 7, 2003 You are really standing by that "Two Undertaker" storyline aren't you? I see Rock and Austin being the surprise entrants and Undertaker just doing a run in or a segment. I sure am, it would be "perfect" for them to try to pull out of their ass for that show. Don't get me wrong however, I do NOT think they'll make an entire storyline out of it. I just feel that they MIGHT have the fake one come out, just to trick all of us into thinking he's gone back to that version. Just to give us a final taste of it, and then once and for all let it be known to all of us that he's NEVER going back to that character, to shut everyone up finally. He might go back to that character though, coming in durring the Rumble, but I'd be more willing to bet that the fake one comes down and he then just beats him up. I wish he'd go back to that character though, as it was always one of my favorites. I really hope they decide to do that, but I am not getting my hopes up for anything anymore. Guest Mole Report post Posted January 7, 2003 SCSA will be in the Rumble. Remember last year he said he was putting himself in the 2003 Rumble. HarHarHar...
Guest Downhome Report post Posted January 7, 2003 SCSA will be in the Rumble. Remember last year he said he was putting himself in the 2003 Rumble. HarHarHar... If they remember that and actually SAY something about it, I'll kiss my own ass. It would be pretty smooth to have his return be built around that, but it'll never happen, but it SHOULD. Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Was that the night he gave the speech about a man named Jed? I heard that poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Hmm.....yes no suprise entrants. They don't need any. They're already strapped for space. I mean 15 guys from RAW and 15 from SD!? My guess is that if they had a match that night(with the exception of Brock) then they won't be in the Rumble.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted January 7, 2003 And I have yet to hear them mention what Michaels was doing during the Attitude Era in the WWF. DX. They mentioned it. -Austin -Hogan -Rock - Sting - Goldberg That is way too much. That'd be blowing your load, and just to surprise poeple for a show they already bought or are in the crowd for. Any two of those guys would be more than enough. Rock and Hogan would be my choices. I think it'd be better for Sting and Goldberg to be brought in as a TV surprise or after some mystery man/new signing hype. The only way I'd like to see Austin in it is if they somehow factored in his announcement that he was entering the 2003 Rumble. Otherwise they should deal with him the same way as Sting and Goldberg. - Marty Jannetty (I wouldn't mind seeing him actually. Can you imagine a Marty/HBK showdown?) - Iron Sheik Wasn't the reason the Iron Sheik won the Gimmick Battle Royal was because he might actually die or something if he took a spill over the top ropes? And where is Jannetty? Is he still doing the odd indy here and there? I want to see Scotty Riggs! Yeah, but he was never in the WWF, so he's already out of the running. I'm still upset they didn't sign him when he left WCW or when ECW closed. He would've been a nice add-on for the Invasion. Does he even wrestle anymore? As for mystery entrants like Tugboat and Repo Man, I think they should hold off on that this year. Rock and/or Hogan, Undertaker and Damaja (though no one will care) is enough. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 And I have yet to hear them mention what Michaels was doing during the Attitude Era in the WWF. DX. They mentioned it. Er, I consider Michael's time in DX to be Post-New Generation, Pre-Attitude. I kinda consider when Austin won the title to be when Attitude fully hit. And I meant Michaels being commish more than DX. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 7, 2003 If it happened before 1997, it never happened. Fans' attention spans (myself included) don't care about what took place before the ATTITUDE ERA. So why would you care if Janetty and Michaels has a showdown when they broke up as a tag team around the beginning of 1992?
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted January 7, 2003 UT going back to the old gimmick could justify his not jobbing and no-selling and his name. Since when do undertakers ride motorcycles? I couldn't see him using the Tombstone all the time though.
