Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I'm working on writing a book, and I thought I would give the lovely Smarks a chance to look over the intro...it's only about a page long, but I'm working on possibly adding a little bit more before I move on to the 1st "chapter"...check this out:::::: Every person that has ever been on this Earth can attest to the similarities between life and a play. They have a setting…our Earth, a plot…life, there are climaxes, antagonists, and protagonists that change based on the scene being played out. Billions of plays are being acted out every single day, and while we act out our own, we are in the audience of the rest. But now, you will become simply a part of the audience. Welcome to the Theatre of Life. You walk into this amazing theatre, this realm, this world where you are nothing but a viewer, lurking beyond the orchestra pit, only to be seen as a miniscule part of the play that will be put on before you. You have your snacks, maybe a drink, and you await the rising of the curtain. The scenes that will unfold in front of your eyes are small parts of the whole that is the life of one Marcus Hoem, and you will watch him go from birth to death, following every move he makes. It’s almost like a reality show, or The Truman Show, except this time the characters, the people living their lives in front of you, just may come to you for advice, or interaction. Nobody can predict what lies ahead in the Theatre of Life. The other characters will be introduced separately in the beginning of each scene, and will always play themselves, but their roles will change. Friends may become enemies, and enemies may become the most trusted of friends. The scenes will change just as their lives do, and you will witness it all and may help decide exactly how Marcus runs through his life, if and only if he decides to question his actions. In this Theatre of Life, you will be playing the conscience, but not in a Pick Your Own Adventure kind of way. The characters will ask of your advice, but will never listen. It’s not what lies outside the stage, outside the fourth wall, that matters…it’s what lies inside those other three walls that is the most important thing. You are only a small piece of the audience, a nothing in Marcus’s life, and nothing that makes any sense in their world. They do not know why you are watching them, only that you are watching them. Sadly, the beginning and ending of this play is obviously predictable, but how they actors, the characters, the people all move between those two points is the most unpredictable journey of all time. So without further adieu, the lights have dimmed, the curtain is preparing to rise, and so begins our play, in the Theatre of Life… FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED...
