Ever look back on the high school years...

Well my biggest thing is. I would have better prepared myself for college. I haven't ever gone, and probobaly never will seeing that I am planning to move out so I need the extra time to dedicate to the workforce for the sake of paying bills. I consider myself pretty smart for merely having a H.S. diploma and know I could succeed in college if I was motivated. I am just not a school person. I dunno.....

Also, I would have taken a lot more chances. I was pretty mellow and laid back in highschool due to some timidness as far as girls and stuff go. Like I was the type of guy that even if I had a hunch a girl liked me, I wouldn't make any type of move unless she made it crystal clear......Anyways...those are a couple things....how about yourselves?

Im pretty happy with my high school time

i wasnt "popular" per se but everyone knew who I was , had tons of friends, did well with women

i would probably have tried to date more though, instead of being with one girl for a long time, just to "sow my oats". I had lots of opportunites cause those girls know when you have "the stench" on you and want to pry you away more.

and I should have went to college right out of High School as opposed to waiting

Only thing that I would have changed would be that I would have worked less and gotten involved more in student activities/sports. I had brief flings with yearbook staff, Students Against Drunk Driving and the Track team, but quit them all in order to work and make money, which I used to pay for things such as proms, car insurance, etc. Other than that, I loved high school.

I would've asked out Karla Braufmann. The hottest girl this side of the Mississippi.

I like to think I would have gone back and changed things, but I just met this really awesome girl, and who knows if I would have ended up meeting her. Given that, I wouldn't change anything just to be safe.

Yeah hindsight is always too clear. There's no point in having regrets, but there are girls I have crushes on now, that I didn't give a second glance in High school, because I was stupidly obsessesed over one person, which went no where.

Besides that I ... would have boughten better clothes and gotten contacts earlier?

Now that I think about it, the girl I'm talking about went to high school with me (a grade younger) so maybe if I could go back, I would have tried to get to know her back then.

I graduated a year early, and looking back, I wouldn't have done that. I wanted to have a year to just dick around before going to college, and now here it is, three years later, and I still haven't gone. So knowing I was going to do that, I'd rather have the extra year of the high school scene.

I would have been less shy and dated more. I can think of four girls in particular who I blew chances with, and I sometimes regret that.

Of course, I would never want to go back to high school. In fact, one of the worst, recurring nightmares I have is where I find out I missed a few classes in high school and have to go back there, along with going to university. My aunt actually had to do that once.

It just amazes me that I even went to high school. I had to always go there for six hours a day, and wear these stupid uniforms. It is usually hard for me to believe that I did that for four years straight. I can barely sit through a 3 hour class in university without getting uncomfortable. It is hard for me to believe I did it in high school everyday.

I would have payed attention and done well. And I'd like to have had a lot more sex. I can think of a million things that I'd do differently. In fact, there probably isn't a whole lot that I'd do the same. I royally fucked myself over in so many ways during that four year period.

The one thing I truly wish I could have gone back and done was be a better student and earn better grades than what I did.

I wish I would have also been able to go out with girls who didn't have major baggage or turn into a giant bitch later on in our relationship.

Another thing I would have liked to done would to have won a second football title instead of only having won one during my 4 years on the team. We had some of the best players I could have ever wanted yet for various reasons we lost each time in the semi-finals of the playoffs.

We won the championship in my senior year and I can honestly say it was one of the hardest things I had ever done in my life along with breaking my leg at the end of the 4th.

I probably would have tried to be a better student. Now, I'm a year behind in college because I have to take "pre-college" courses because I did nothing but fuck around, play Gameboy and skip school all the time. So many wasted afternoons...

Also, around that time period, I would have saved more money. It seems that I have holes in my pockets now. I get paid on Thursday and by Sunday, my money is gone. Bills, car, etc. If I had saved money, I could be buying cool things. Like porn. And more porn.

I would have made more of an effort to get involved too. Instead of skipping pep rallies...nah. Fuck the pep rallies, but I would like to have played on our hockey team.

I probably would have tried to get in better shape (I only began working out my last year) and maybe played on a team. Other than that, nothing else...

The only thing I can think of is that I would have prepared myself better for college. I slacked off my freshman year and now 2 years later, I have yet to return. However, I was lucky enough to get a great job without a degree (that of course will not always be the case) Other than that I was happy with my high school years and wouldn't change much more. Although if I could go back, I would have whipped a few asses.

1. I wouldn't have waited until Senior year to join the Soccer team.

2. I wouldn't have waited until Junior year to quit the football team (my high school experiences have totally caused me to hate football).

3. I would have asked her out.

4. I wouldn't have dicked around my Senior year and waited until the last minute to apply for college. I cost myself at least $40K in scholarships just by being too fucking lazy.

Guest So what? I liked bubble boy

Nothing. My life is great. I don't have everything that I want. I have debt. I have bills. I have a temper. I'm stubborn. I have a girl. I have a dog named buddy. I like my life. I try to look towards the future rather then the past. Your high school years are important, though your future is more important, don't try to change the past, but try to light up the path your walking down right now. Although to answer the question more clearly the best (and always best) part of my life is when I finished high school and smashed into a wall. As my eye's opened Jesus put glasses on me and lighted up my path to the future.....
