Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 7, 2003 MLB-EJ Henderson. Maybe the next Ray Lewis? The local purple and gold team would be foolish to pass this guy up if he's available. CB-Terrence Newman. Size, Speed, great Cover Skillls. All the tools needed to be a top cover corner. DT-Jimmie Kennedy. Could be a dominate DT for years if he plays up to potential. Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted January 7, 2003 I would love EJ Henderson on my team (cardinals). He could learn under mckinnon for a year and then be set. The cardinals will probably draft a d-lineman though. We always do. --Rob
Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Linebacker is the one squad on the Ravens team that is pretty deep. I think we'll go O line or D line with the 10 or 11 pick (to be decided by a coin-flip with Seattle). EDIT: I thought Vern was talking about the Ravens, when he was talking about his Vikings. Henderson would be a great choice for them.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 8, 2003 WR- Charlie Rogers- Described as Randy Moss without the brain damage. I think he would be a good fit with Detroit. They could use some D, but they need to get Harrington a weapon Schroeder and Hakim sucked, and being a local product could help their PR.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Whose is the best Shutdown Corner? Cuz, Bengals need him.
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Probably Terance Newman, with excellent cover skills and sprinter's speed (he was the Big 12 track champion in the 100 and 200 I believe).
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Is he #1 good? Or should we trade Palmer/Leftwich to Dallas/Washinton and get their later pick and a other corner?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted January 8, 2003 The Bears need Leftwich in a major way. Dick Jauron and his shitty offensive coordinator need to be hit with a falling safe as they're in each others' loving embrace.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Is he #1 good? Or should we trade Palmer/Leftwich to Dallas/Washinton and get their later pick and a other corner? I am not sure if he is or not, but the Lions pick at number 2 and have a huge need for a corner. Read any story about the Lions from the past season and chances are their glaring need for cornerbacks is mentioned somewhere. I am not sure if they will draft one that early, but they just might. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2003 Boy I'm hoping they do go corner in the 1st round. With McGahee out, Rogers would sure look nice in a Texans uniform next year. If the Lions do take Rogers (which I see them doing, unfotunately), the Texans would probably end up either trading down or taking someone like Kennedy out of Penn St., which wouldn't really feel a huge need (DL) although the guy is tremendously talented. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted January 9, 2003 The Texans could always take Larry Johnson although they might be able to trade a little bit down to get him. Of course Chicago is also looking at him, but they are not sure he is worth a #3 pick. I could see them getting jumpy if they knew Houston was interested though. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I wouldn't mind Johnson, but I'm a little concerned about his so-called "breakaway" speed in the NFL. In college he was able to outrun the pursuit, but he might have a bit more trouble in the big show. Plus, the Texans already have a between the tackles pounder in Jonathan Wells. Of course, it would be nice if there was a line to run behind *prays for Boselli and Young to come back healthy for once*. Since Chicago is right behind the Texans, I would probably lay odds on them calling Houston and betting the Texans will take someone else.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 9, 2003 The Lions will get pressure to draft the local player Rogers with the 2nd pick.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Lions need a CB, but putting Charlie Rogers together with Joey Harrington definatly wouldn't be a horrible choice. Besides there's not really any stand out top 5 pick CB in this years draft. So there's nothing saying that they can't pick up a good CB in the second round.
