Guest Brian Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I forgot the Rock. I was hoping to do Rock/Jericho with a double turn earlier and if they abort on Jericho/HBK (which is always a possibility with the Kid), they could go with that. Turning Golddust heel won't hurt him if they can figure out how to pull it off. Essentially, the story is that Goldy offered everything to help Booker T get those titles, and in turn, Booker went and lost the titles and another title match. So Golddust could just play up the homosexual undertones, which would get a ton of heat even though I wouldn't approve of it, or just get totally mad and fed up and psychotic.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I don't know... call me crazy, but I'm not really excited about seeing Jericho the face again
Guest Brian Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 He needs it. At least his character does. He's stalled so long as a heel and lost so much credibility, he needs it. Despite the promos sometimes being dull, face Jericho was far more over with the fans, far more credible, and his moves were a better fit.

I agree completely, which is why I want a turn even if it means I gotta deal with the face promos. The fans WANT to cheer for him, as you get Y2J chants even in his matches now.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Yeah I see your point... I just like Jericho as a heel. I find him far more entertaining... it's a shame that they didn't push him all the way
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Yeah I was hoping for an awesome heel Jericho but instead we got face Jericho that just whines a lot and jobs more than usual. He was an awesome heel when he first entered the WWF. Why can't he be that again? Dammit! But yes they do want to cheer him. There's always those small Y2J chants that develope(I've heard Eddie ones to) and the fans on RAW had these gigantic pink letters that said Y2J.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Rhyno and Jazz will be back by then - both will get big pushes I would imagine. Also, why has no-one mentioned the Undertaker? He'll be back and at WM people will (just) be still into the re-birth of the Dead Man - who will he face? He's a SmackDown! wrestler...it looks like the The Big Show, A-Train, or De Mott for 'Taker to go 11 - 0 at The Big One...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Actually it'd be nice if Taker would job at WM to put someone over since it's his last WM. Hopefully that someone is a non-hoss.
Guest Brian Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Well, they had this card two or three months ago, which would have rocked: HHH vs. Booker Booker goes over, new star made. Brock vs. Angle Angle goes over, wins the title, solidifies his status, big time face. RVD vs. Undertaker Play up the mutual respect, RVD breaks the win streak. Rock vs. Jericho Double turn, Jericho wins and Rock goes after the title. Austin vs. Benoit Benoit goes over as a heel. Edge and Christian vs. Guerreros Give it so Edge can refreshen his character and Christian milks the Jericho break-up that happened in January. Mysterio vs. Knoble Knoble should have held the title until then and gotten more exposure. Storm/Regal vs. Dudleys Dudleys go over, make fans happy, give the title an established team to eventually drop it like on SmackDown. Hogan vs. Vince Hogan's last hurray. Too much elevation for one card?
Guest Angle-plex Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I'm hoping that almost every match except title matches are interpromotional. That way we would get some fresh stuff.
Guest Brian Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 They could do that for another show though, Mania will get a good buyrate regardless and they can gimmick another show like that. Plus after the Benoit/RVD thing, I'm not really interested in doing interpromotional; stuff because it's hard to do interactions and practice matches are hard to come by.
Guest Ram Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Of course Nash will be involved in Wrestlemania. It's the biggest payday of the year, so he'll have a "miracle" of sorts and get there before taking a few months off for an acting up injury.
