Velocity And Smackdown Spoilers

Recommended Posts

Guest BoboBrazil

Velocity:

Nunzio b Crash by pin fall.

-Nunzio came out to some generic music. Couldn't he just use Noble's entrance

until his video is ready? Good match from these two. Nunzio worked the

arm the entire match, and he put Crash away with what I would call a Springboard

Tornado Armbar Takedown. Think of Trish's Stratusfaction, but with the armbar

instead of the bulldog.

Dynamite b Funaki by pin fall.

-You read that correctly. Funaki jobbed to an indy guy tonight. How dare

they treat Smackdown?s #1 Announcer this way! At least it was a good match.

Dynamite finished Funaki off with a move similar to the Acid Drop, but instead

of spinning around into the bulldog, he flipped backwards into a reverse

DDT. It looked great. Dynamite offered his hand to Funaki after the match.

Funaki hesitated at first, but then shook it.

At this point, Josh Matthews came out. No one cared. Then Ernest The Cat

Miller came out, and surprisingly, the crowd popped big time for him. Velocity

pyro goes off.

Bill DeMott b Mike Colvakian(?) by pin fall.

-I'm guessing on jobber Mike's last name. I had trouble hearing it. Squash

match. More exciting than some of DeMott?s recent matches, but still nothing

special. He won with a sit-out powerbomb. After the ref counted three,

DeMott sat there as if he were in a trance for a few seconds, and then finally

got up and left. Similar to Bubba Ray Dudley back when he was putting women

through tables.

Chuck Palumbo b Keiji Sakoda by pin fall.

-The pin came after Sukoda came off the

top rope and Palumbo caught him in midair with the superkick, which legitimately

knocked him out! After Palumbo left, several referees came down to check

on Sakoda. It took him a few minutes to get up. He was finally able to

get out of the ring, and the referees got him some water and helped him to

the back. The fans cheered him as he was helped out.

Stage and ring were changed to Smackdown. Tazz and Michael Cole came out

to a good ovation. Intro video played, but not much pyro to open the show.

One small explosion coming out of the fist, and then we go right into the

first match. It seems kind of lame that Velocity has more exciting pyro

than Smackdown.

Big Show b Rikishi by pin fall.

-A few good spots. Rikishi did a twisting bump off a Show clothesline, and

Show did some vicious chops. But nothing special. Not a good way to start

the night. Choke slam finished off the phat man. Rikishi had to be helped

to the back. Don't know if he was legit hurt or not. If he is, that makes

it the second injury tonight. And we're just getting started! Following

the match, Heyman said they have a lesson to teach to Brrrrroooooock?Leeessssnarrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Billy Kidman b Matt Hardy (Version 1.0) by pin fall.

-Matt was accompanied by his MFer, Shannon Moore. During the match, Kidman

did a Springboard Shooting Star Press to the outside on both Matt and Shannon. Near the end, Kidman went for the SSP again,

but Shannon interfered. His interference backfired, however, as Matt ran

into him following a reversed Irish whip, and Kidman rolled him up for the

pin. Kidman got almost no reaction when he came out, but was very over when

he won. Matt ordered Shannon to get in the ring, but instead of punishing

him like he did two weeks ago, he forgave him, saying he?d rather Shannon

try and fail than not try at all. He then gave Shannon a hug and they walked

to the back. Good match.

A promo aired on the Tron with Cena and B-2. As usual, Cena did most of

the talking, and B-2 just said, ?Indeed!??er, I mean, ?Booyah!? Kind of

an anti-Tucson promo, kind of an anti-Guerrero promo, but mostly an anti-Hispanic

promo. Didn?t expect that (especially since there were probably just as

many Caucasians in the crowd as there were Hispanics), but I guess it did

its job. It got them the heel heat.

John Cena (w/ B-2) b Chavo Guerrero (w/ Eddie Guerrero) by pin fall.

-B-2 interfered in the match, causing Eddy to attack him. Both men were

ejected from ringside. Cena pinned Chavo using the ropes. Another good

match. Two in a row.

The American Gladia?uh, Team Angle is up next! Haas is scheduled to face

Edge tonight, while Benjamin will be fighting Benoit.

Charlie Haas (w/ Shelton Benjamin and Kurt Angle) b Edge by pin fall.

-Angle cut a promo before the match. Just as the match was about to start,

Benoit?s music played and he came down to ringside. Interference toward

the end of the match. Edge hit Haas with the spear, but Angle reached in

and pulled him off. Benoit took out Angle, but Benjamin nailed him with

a superkick! Hass got the pin after hitting Edge with a modified powerslam.

Three good matches in a row!

Angle and Benjamin ran into the ring to beat down Edge some more. Benoit

came in and they scattered. Benoit grabbed a mic and cut a short promo about

the Royal Rumble. Staredown between Team Angle and Edge and Benoit. The

referees came out and got Angle, Haas, and Edge out of there. Once they

were gone, Benjamin entered the ring and the next match began!

Benoit b Shelton Benjamin by disqualification.

-Benoit hit Benjamin with the Swandive Headbutt and then locked in the Crossface,

but Angle came down and distracted the referee while Benjamin tapped. Benoit

tried to go after him, but Angle hit him with his crutch in plain view of

the referee, causing the DQ. Despite the DQ ending, still a good match.

That?s four a row! I love Smackdown. Haas then ran down to assist Team

Angle in beating up Benoit. Edge tried to make the save, but was taken out.

Benoit held his own for a moment, but was eventually overwhelmed.

A Bill DeMott promo airs on the Tron where he bashes University of Arizona

basketball. I hope security escorts him to his car. Crowd starts a ?U of

A? chant.

Bill DeMott b Shannon More by pin fall.

-Bill DeMott again!? Why? What did we do to deserve this? Matt Hardy did

commentary. This match got a rather loud ?boring? chant, and did it ever

deserve it. I?m guessing they?ll edit that out in post-production. DeMott

won with the same powerbomb he used on Velocity, and had the same reaction

after the three-count. After he left, Matt helped Shannon up?and then hit

him with the Twist of Fate!

Eddie Guerrero b B-2 by pin fall.

-Cena and B-2 came out and started rapping their way to the ring, much like

they did in the earlier match, but this time, Los Guerreros attacked them

from behind! Match was okay, but had a couple of blown spots. Latino Heat

won with the Frog Splash.

A-Train tells Heyman and Show to stay away from Lesnar until he?s through

with him. According to the main event graphic on the Tron, Albert weighs

350 lbs. Without the hair, he weighs 275.

Brock Lesnar b A-Train by pin fall.

-Not bad for a hoss match. Lesnar wins with the F5.

Lesnar grabs a mic and challenges Show. Show and Heyman start to come to

the ring?but then they decide to head for the parking lot. Lesnar is pissed,

and he decides to take his aggression out on A-Train. Here?s where our third

and final injury of the night occurs. Brock lifts A-Train up for another

F5, but when he brings him down, instead of spinning A-Train around and dropping

him face down, he accidently flips him over and drops him right on his head!

Referees ran down to help him as Brock left. He was down for several minutes,

but eventually he got up and walked out of the arena under his own power.

The fans cheered him as he left. Tony Chimmel thanked us for coming. Show?s

over.

Yes no stupid Dawn and Al skits unless they add them in during post production.

WHOOO!!

Big Show and Rikishi jerk the curtain and Matt Hardy wrestles in a non-squash. The Al and Dawn crap, if added later, will likely be to a minimum. Awesome workers in full force. B2 too high on the card but he jobs.

Was that so hard now? The crowd also told them to take Demott and shove 'em up their asses, so that's great news.

Raw's gonna be so OWNED this week.

I'm betting Dynamite has GOT to be Spanky. That sounds just like Sliced Bread #2 for his finisher

Also, I'm hoping that Albert spot from Lesnar was a legit screwup and not just a planned injury angle thing.

Well, I don't think it will be very hard for Smackdown to own Raw. Raw was so bad, it isn't even funny.

Bill DeMott is now using Batista's finisher.

The irony is almost overwhelming.

It doesn't surprise me that Brock's F5 eventually caused an injury. The last few weeks he did it increasingly sloppy. Not good.

Minus the DeMott squash, it sounds like a good show. Both Cena and B-2 in action? Booyah!

ya know after they reimplemented use of the jobbers on the "B" shows, i was just waiting for one of them to pick up a victory off of the known WWE employees (kinda like 123 Kid and Razor).

curious to see what dynomite (spanky) looks like since a lot of u guys have said some good things about him

I don't think we'll be seeing Spanky this week, as if you read above Josh Matthews and The Cat came out after the first two matches matches started, along with the Velocity pyro. I really hope I'm wrong though, as I've been itchin' to see some Spanky since they signed him.

Jesus Christ you are a sick fuck. You actually want a wrestler to be dropped on his mother fucking head just because you don't like him?

Seems like a good show, and I'm glad that I don't have to work this thursday, as I finally get to see it.

Didn't Tajiri beat Knoble, too? I read that in spoilers on CRZ's board.

I read from another spoiler, that Dawn/Al/Torrie have 4 segments. The last one being Dawn and Al in bed together with Dawn trying to wake a "sleeping" Al, but can't. I took it as meaning that you are supposed to believe that Al might be dead. It also said that they annouced a Dawn/Torrie match for Royal Rumble.

I wonder when they'll notice that DeMott is really worthless in this role? It's also surprising how they just jobbed their number one face to Haas (Benoit is getting there, but he's not really face yet).

You never want to see someone as big as Albert dropped on his head...a lot more force in the impact. I don't like him as a performer, but I hope he's fine.

Hope thats true.
