i got a 12something on my SAT and either a 30 or a 31 on my ACT.

if you're given the choice, by the way, take the ACT. you're not pennalized for wrong answers (unlike the SAT), so you're free to guess on anything you don't know without fear of having anything subracted from your score. it also covers more subjects in less depth (there's a social studies & science section IIRC), and it's just an overall easier test.

I, much like Kinetic, completely BOMBED the SAT's.

I'm talking an 800. An 8 fucking hundred.

I had no choice but to take the test at 7AM in stupid ass Braintree, Massachusetts, which meant that I had to get up at fucking 5 fucking thirty in the goddamn morning.

Well, wait...I didn't bomb the SAT. I don't think I performed up to my ability, but my no-effort score is still above the national average. Slightly.

And being above the national average is pretty high on a military test. You should be proud.... by the way... what the hell are you going to be?

I'm not sure yet. Something that doesn't involve getting blown up.

Hey, can I brag a bit? After all, I'm a bit late. But, anyway, 1360 SAT. Maybe not stellar, but I'm cool with it.

Wow. Jingus may just be the "best" poster in real-life. Very well-rounded.

Kinetic, you're not really going in the military are you? Don't... unless it's something like a desk job where you really won't get blown up.

I did like a 1100 on the PSAT, but that was a waste of time. I did much better on the SAT, getting a 1320 (WHOO!), 660 on each. Because of that, I'm getting a $3000 scholarship for college (although my regular grades are ~2.5 GPA)

Hey, good job. I was a Commended Student back in the day.

I forget what my score was, though. I just remember that I aced the writing skills part. Go me.

Oh, and my SAT scores were 1320 first go-round (690V, 630M) and 1350 the second (690/660). I quit after that.

In a way I'm disappointed that standardized testing doesn't occur anymore once you get out of high school, because damn if I didn't do nicely on them. I absolutely throttled the SAT, to a point probably better than I deserved.

Of course, now that I'm not doing multiple choice analogies all the time, I'm actually, you know, learning and getting an education, but that's besides the point. Little pencil bubbles for life.

Oh, come on.

If you go to grad school, you get the GRE, and if you're headed to law school there's always the LSAT.

Or you could be like me and consider a JD/PhD program where you have to do both!

I never took the SAT, being Canadian and all. I DID take the GRE when I was considering applying to American grad schools, and scored 2250 (700 verbal, 780 math, 770 analytic). B-)
