Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Courtesy Kylie.co.uk... New Russian faux-lesbo duo T.A.T.U., who are about to release their debut single All The Things She Said in the UK, have been slating Kylie in Polish magazine Bravo. Julia comments: "She's not interesting at all. She's got so much make-up on her face. If you put so much make-up on someone they'll always be beautiful, but such beauty goes away with the make-up. And by the way, that's the whole Kylie Minogue? The star? She's nothing more than an old bitch!" Nice! Need we suggest that you don't buy their new single?! Someone should have warned them about the 'Kylie Curse' - we now see their career being very shortlived. The curse they speak of is a delightful trend where anyone who badmouths Ms. Minogue promptly has a career nosedive. I now withdraw all support I once had for TATU, lesbianism be damned.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I've only heard a couple tracks by TATU, I kinda like them actually. And the one with black hair is real cute. And I know you defend your girl to the death, but she does overuse the make up. And her songs do nothing for me.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 *Holds back the urge to add to their comments* And now she makes herself sound like an old witch, as well as an old bitch, with that curse junk. Still, Tatu is probably just as bad. *Goes back to music he likes, the stuff you can't understand the words in*
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 No, it isn't something she made up, it really does happen when someone says anything about her, kinda like putting one of the teams in the Super Bowl on the cover of Sports Illustrated that week ensures their loss.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Hmmm, I'm starting to warm up to TATU...
Guest Dace59 Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 It doesn't matter if it's true or not. It's the very fact she brought it up at all.
Guest razazteca Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I'll take jailbait over MILF any time besides the music from both entertainers, I will not call them singers, are over produced dance tracks for pop mass consuption. Its kind of stupid for TATU to attack Kylie just for attention, did the lesbian gimmick die out already? And the "All the things she said" is just being released in UK? why so late, the song has been out for over a year.
Guest starvenger Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I'll take jailbait over MILF any time Is it that or the prospect of a threesome? So, did Danii get hit by the curse or something? I thought she was a singer as well...
Guest Sassquatch Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 This smells like a simple way for TATU to get some pub for their new album and later on if it goes big we'll hear how they want to work with Kylie.
Guest Kibagami Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 The wave of indifference that just struck me is absolutely overpowering. ::slouches in chair a little more:: K.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 MILF> Jailbait They whine too much. MILF's are more experienced, better, and more appreciative
Guest spiny norman Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 I was indifferent to Tatu before, but now I'll never listen to their songs. Butch slags.
Guest Kinetic Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Jailbait is much more aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion. Having seen The Graduate on more than one occassion, however, I must admit that the right sort of MILF is definitely appealing. If I could, at some point in my life, use the line, "Mrs. ____, are you trying to seduce me?" I would die a happy man indeed.
Guest Incandenza Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Who cares if they're jailbait--THEY'RE LESBIANS! They ain't gonna fuck ya.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Who cares if they're jailbait--THEY'RE LESBIANS! They ain't gonna fuck ya. Most people think the lesbian deal is just an act to cement their image...probably is.
Guest Kinetic Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 I can think of worse gimmicks. Popular music is sorely lacking hot lesbians. The Indigo Girls and k.d. lang aren't doing anything for anyone.
Guest Incandenza Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 That's beside the point. Far too many men lust after lesbians to the point where it's sad. Yeah, they're fun to watch, but it's not like you're gonna get in on that action.

The Indigo Girls and k.d. lang aren't doing anything for anyone. There was a girl duo a few years back called the Murmurs. They had a minor hit with a song called "You Suck." I know at least one of them was a lesbian, and she was hot. But yeah, lipstick lesbians in the world of music are few and far between.

So, did Danii get hit by the curse or something? I thought she was a singer as well... just a mark for redheads and I like to watch I would take Kylie over Madonna in a battle of the MILFs

HLA! Sorry, I had to do it.
Guest Matt Young Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Well, I'm not much of a pop/dance/whatever fan, but I like TATU's music. Kylie has a great body (and a scary face) but her music is generic. She sings in the same tone all the time and her music is the same looped beat with 1 note changed per song. I don't have anything against her musically, but as somewhat credible musicians, they had the right to bash her.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 I doubt any of you have heard her material before she became big in the US, so I'll gladly admit that what you've heard is pretty much typical Pop fare.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Clearly the only way to resolve this is a really brutal catfight.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Nice idea AoO. I'd make a joke about being lined up and shot, but it's not that funny, and most wouldnt get the HGttG referance.
Guest spiny norman Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Her songs all sound the same? I'm going to re-iterate Kotzenjunge's comment, how much of her stuff have you heard? Where The Wild Roses Grow is unlike anything else she did, Confide In Me etc. I can think of very few songs that sounded exatly the same as the one before. She is absolutely nowhere near generic.
Guest Incandenza Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 I wouldn't call "Where the Wild Roses Grow" a Kylie song. Did she ever record her own version of it?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 You know, at this point, I believe the most-discussed music in the Music folder ever has been Elvis Costello, Metallica, The Beatles, and Kylie. I'm sort of proud, but I kinda feel like it's my fault.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Has any of it been that possitive for Kylie?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Don't forget the endless Avril discussions...
