Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 9, 2003 With the recent release of DVD boxsets for Oz, The Shield and Buffy which are three of the better shows currently on tv i was wondering about the other side of the spectrum. What are the worst shows currently on TV? I'm only referring to first run shows and no reruns. I may make some additions later, but as of right now I'm just wanting to know what you all think. Oh yeah and to make it more interesting don't go the easy route and mention the UPN "comedies". Everyone already knows that those are some of the worst TV shows ever. In case you're wondering why I'm asking. I'm curious to see how many of these "bad" shows that i personally like.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I've seen one episode of 'Good Morning Miami' and I hated it.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 9, 2003 day time talk shows of Maury Povish and Jerry Springer are the worst. Maury is on sick old bastard with shows that are about pre-teen sex whores or Who's my baby daddy or the she-male beauty pagent. I'm not a big fan of the reality show like the Joe Millionare or the 12 seasons of Real World on constant reruns on MTV.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Let's see: - 99.99999999% of "reality" shows - Anna Nicole Smith (deserves it's own mention) - King of the Hill (I'm sorry, but I HATE that show) - Boston Public ("Indigo" guest starred on Buffy and I wished they tied her to a post as a "snack" for the Ubervamp) - The Bachelorette (just fuck her and leave, I say)
Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 9, 2003 King of the Hill is a great show! I never miss a rerun at 5 and 6 everyday! I don't watch Boston Public at all, to me it seems like nothing but trying be shocking all of the time.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Everything on network TV sucks besides Smallville and Alias.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I think Becker is a steaming pile of crap, yet many people seem to watch it, judging by it's ratings. Odd.
Guest Mole Report post Posted January 10, 2003 I hate Friends. Never got into the show and I didn't really think it was that funny. I mean I have laughed at some parts, but I never got into the show like Seinfeld. But that is a re-run show now, so I won't talk about it. Any comedy on UPN sucks. Boston Public sucks now. I loved it at first, but now it's just blah. Will and Grace, I can't stand either. Not funny at all. Fraiser, I just don't get the jokes. I guess I am too young for it, even though I'm 19. My mom loves that show, but I never got into it. That's all I can think of for now. Mole
Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2003 I like the show Friends but.. remember what Al Bundy said when he was searching through the channels and nothing but Friends was on? Al: Friends..don't need them, don't want them..why the hell do i want to watch em? Hilarious.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted January 10, 2003 Friends is perhaps one of the worst shows I've ever seen. First two seasons I dug, but after that...I turned 11 and realized that the show is unrealistic in EVERY WHICH FUCKING WAY. Almost every MTV-original is a piece of shit. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 10, 2003 Frasier use to be great, but the last few years haven't been that great. I actually don't watch it that often, but when Will and Grace is on comedy mode it's a great show. However I don't care for the show when they pull out the serious episodes. They seem to have at least two serious episodes a season. Anyone ever notice how NBC now always seems to make their sitcoms have serious episodes. I beleive that Scrubs is the only top NBC sitcom to escape the serious episode trend thus far.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted January 10, 2003 I absolutely hate Friends, Seinfeld, and Boston Public. Also, all the reality shows have begun to seriously piss me the fuck off.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 10, 2003 the celebrity date show on E! is crap, now the 1st few shows were ok especially Dustin Diamond with the body builder and the "Don't Call Me Tutti" one but Philis Diller????? WTF who wants to see a 80 year old woman date? on Univision there are talk shows that pretend to be like Jerry Springer with all of the fights and ugly looking host and Luchadores as enforcers/security. Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 10, 2003 Friends, no doubt. I can't get into any of the current sitcoms, for that matter. Everyone's too young and affluent for my taste. Also, Queer as Folk isn't a bad show by any measure, but I was pissed because it was advertised to me as a comedy by the people who made me sit down and watch the first season DVD set with them. I can't STAND any show that tries to make itself look like a comedy but is really a drama after it premieres.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted January 10, 2003 I fuckin' hate Anna Nicole. That's probably one of the worst shows ever. Even though it's in syndication now, I really despise Sports Night.

Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted January 10, 2003 Well, The Recent Simpsons Seasons haven't been as good as they useto be. A bad Simpsons is still one of the funniest, best written shows on television. At this point, the only prime-time (regular TV) show that I watch with any regularity is the Simpsons. Other shows, if I catch them, great, but if not it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted January 10, 2003 I don't watch much other than my usual shows these days. I really hated Friends because the characters were so annoying and the humor was just really uninspired & lame. The fact that it's mega-popular and that the stars are way overpaid just made me hate it more. I generally avoid it now, so the hate has kind of died down. I think I've picked on Birds of Prey enough in that thread, and it's been cancelled anyway. There isn't much else that I actively hate nowadays.

Guest TheyCallMeMark Report post Posted January 11, 2003 Friends sucks. Last nights episode was the worst episode of any show, EVER. My mom loves it though... GOD DAMN I HATE FRIENDS.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted January 11, 2003 All sitcoms suck. Cosby, Seinfeld, Roseanne, and Married with Children are the only good sitcoms ever. please. 'fawlty towers' was a sitcom, & it's one of the funniest shows EVER. i don't know if 'undressed' qualifies cause it seems to be off the air, but i hate that show with a passion. never in my life have i seen a more shallow, unfunny, vapid, badly written, badly shot, badly acted piece of total SHIT in my entire life. it's like 'your friends and neighbors' without the irony: that is, everybody fucks and uses everybody else, and there's literally nothing else to them, yet we're expected to root for these characters. i can't emphasize enough how shallow that show was. and it's not even a good shallowness like 'jerry springer' or 'the real world' where you can feel superior to the characters. it left me feeling ill.
